Never to the dark side Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Just been looking at the Balmorral sight(the ship that plies its trade in the Bristol channel Just a thought, it carrys seven hundred shippers(or City fans) The balmorral will be staying at swansea saturdaynight/sunday morning Just wondering if we could "borrow" the ship saturday night/sunday morning To take the hoards across the water make a change from the train coach and car. Pick up points weston clevedon portishead One problem no return trip till at least 7pm as the balmorral will be on a cruise until that time Ah well it was just a thought
Guest claloudav Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 it could work but might cause some problems, but by leaving at seven it could give city fans the time to either celebrate or cotemplate (hate to tempt fate)
Johnny Casio Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 Sounds actually quite good, is it actually a possibility?

RedTauntonian Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 whats the point i just got a childs cheap day return ticket from temple meads to cardiff bay for £3.95 and an adults ticket is only £7.50 don't you need to go Cardiff Central?
Whirling Ted Smith Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Is there any chance that I could get a flight from Lulsgate to Cardiff?
The Man In Black Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 NTTDS, keep everyone posted on this one. I can't see the harm in staying behind a couple of hours after the game. I for one think it's a good idea
Johnny Casio Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 If we go up i think everyone will want to stay around and have a party!!!
Guest rob_the_red Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 An early morning booze cruise would be a great way to start what (hopefully) is going to be a fantastic day out. Keep this one going, but, I think we're running out of time to get this sorted! KEEP THE RED FLAG FLYING HIGH
Guest jonnysummers Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Suits me - being a resident of the Don ! - lets us know if it's really a possiblilty ! - I reckon we would fill the boat from Clevedon alone - no problem!
Johnny Casio Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Seriously does anyone know where it would be possible to make this happen? It is a great idea!
Clevedon Red Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Just think 700 hundred fans board the boat to come home following a narrow city defeat but only 500 get off. It'll never happen. Defeat that is.
Guest nickD Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 don't you need to go Cardiff Central? Yup, need to go to Baadiff Central.....Cardiff Bay is MILES away!
Lita For Congo Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Yup, need to go to Baadiff Central.....Cardiff Bay is MILES away! Cardiff Bay is for Ninnian isnt it?
TinnionForEngland Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Yup, need to go to Baadiff Central.....Cardiff Bay is MILES away! It certainly is, Cardiff Central is a stone's throw from the Stadium.
Guest RED DURZ Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Thats a Fantastic idea! I could take my Gas head friend with me and chuck him overboard half way accross! How fab is that? :Party27:

grebes Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 I am going with some friends by boat from Portishead Marina (12 of us) £25 each leaving at 8.30am, wee cruise down the coast to Weston and across. The chap is hoping to get security clearance to mour up by the stadium, if not it will be in the centre of Cardiff. So maybe try contacting the Marina in Portishead to see if anyone else is doing the same. Have not got access to a number, but here is the Portishead website. http://www.portishead.gov.uk/
Guest Uncle Ern Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Us subbers tried to charter a boat from WSM but due to the antics of Wolves "fans" last year we were refused. Apparently they puked and slashed all over the place and left a bad impression of footie fans with the owners.
