:Sleep12: :Sleep12: :Sleep12: was going to post this last night but obviously to late.

Why shouldnt they come?? Ask yourself..why do people get upset?

Because they feel protective towards their club?

Because people who havent followed City through thick and thin shouldnt be allowed to see the good days?

When we go up are these people still banned from coming or derided because they didnt follow city in the 2nd div???

Doesnt bother me if they've been to 1 or 1000 games as long as they're on the side of goodness and righteousness :P

Hopefully some of them will get the bug and come more regulaly, swelling our core support who would look fairly puny rattling around in half the millenium stadium with only various peoples dummys for company :D

Robbo says..."Swindon? Brighton? Man u? dont care..bring em on!!!"

C'mon city

Added to which, attracting more fans is a sign of success. And some of them will, over time, become diehards. We were all 'new' fans once. For many of us, it was a 'big match' or the chance to see attractive opposition which jolted us into going to Ashton Gate for the first time.

If fans are truly ambitious for the club, they should welcome and embrace all those who choose to share our success, and do everything possible to make them enjoy their day out and want to become part of it every week.

Hostility will only lead some who don't feel welcome to abandon coming or be tempted by the dark side.

I want a s many city fans as possible to be there and the club to take over england. The reason I believe that people get annoyed is trhat there are city fans that go to games and miss out on finals becuase of people who dont go but buy final tickets.

Plus if all the so-called "glory supporters" didn't come, we wouldn't sell out our allocation and therefore look pretty stupid with a load of empty seats in our half of the stadium. It is a shame that we don't get the same level of interest for every game we play, but it is also inevitable - there will always be those who just turn up for the big occasions.

Just been reading this post and dont know where me and my mates would fit into this one. After spending the weekend with Lee Miller, 8 of the Scottish boys, me included :P , are planning on travelling down late Saturday night, staying in a B&B in Cardiff or something, then going to the game on Sunday afterwhich driving back up to Scotland to make work on the Monday ( havent got it off as my company gave me the May Day holiday at the beginning of the month )

Basically wondering how many City fans would see us???? Althought i wouldnt feel good about myself if we got tickets and someone who had attended all games didnt, but we are willing to travel for at least 6 hours down, and 6 hours back up all in the space of a day just to be part of what is a massive game for City!! Have to say the excitement among the boys was electric over the weekend thinking about coming to Cardiff!! :D

It's not surprising people stay away from Ashton for most of a season. Until we were back in the East End going to a City home game was just a case of turning up and then sitting down for 90 mins in silence. Since January Ashton Gate has become allot more fun, and even those not singing must admit the general buzz around the place gives it that little bit extra.

And also I expect many don't come because they can't bring their kids. I have a fairly laid back attitude but I'm sure many don't want themselves/their kids too hear the constant swearing ect.

Then there's the ticket prices. These are hardly cheap (What football ticket is nowadays?) and this price obviously stops some people going. Look at the days when football was easily affordable - 30,000 regular crowds, now 10-18,000.

There's lots of obvious factors, but the people that harp on about this subject the most seem incapable of logical thinking on the matter.

I think as friends of Lee Miller and regular of this forum you definitely deserve a ticket mate!! Hopefully you'll even see him get on as a sub and get the winner! Any idea if he's had any indicatioj yet if he'll be in the squad? Imagine it depends on whether the other Lee(Peacock)is risked or not!! He deserves it though...reckon he'll be a star for us eventually!! Go get your tickets...quick!

As for Lee being involved in the squad mate, I havent got a clue. Without mention of the cup final tickets, we didnt ask Lee about what was happening squad wise, he was up for a quiet weekend without the pressure of Bristol City.

If Lee Peacock is not passed fit, though from what I have heard he will, Lee would probably be involved in the squad maybe even given a starting place, but I am fearful he wont be involved but we will make the most of the day regardless.

Looking forward to Cardiff, not the driving part though :D
