Guest Liam_Burns Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 I'm not going to cliam that I'm any type of computer whizz or anything like that but why oh why is it so hard to get online ticketing right???? Although demand for tickets is high etc, why cant city find a company that can provide a decent level of service, ie a service that doesn't crash when more than 10 people try and buy tickets at the same time, surely there have been events ticketed online with a far higher demand and the servers have managed to cope??? Maybe ticketmaster could have provided a better service?
Guest Filton Red Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Dont think this was City choice, I think it was the Football League. Maybe Adam B can conferm this....?

tompo Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 apparantly west ham used ticketmaster, dont know how much truth there is in that.....any closet west ham fans here know???? Aston Villa used Ticket Master and remember the fiasco of the Worthington Cup game against Liverpool. Kick off delayed by 90 mins and the game finished at 11.30pm. Had it gone to extra time it would have been the first game to go in to 2 days.
edson Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Had it gone to extra time it would have been the first game to go in to 2 days. The Forum Team v BCFC Staff Team match very nearly took that honour yesterday...
Guest Liam_Burns Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 fair point, but one would assume and hope they have learnt their lesson since then!

We had to leave before the end because we wouldn't have been able to get back as they didn't lay any more trains on!
