12 players are out of contract next season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The team will be different

IMO The club want to be relegated because they can not sustain the wages

If the board wanted to stay up they would sack the manager now

He KEEPS ON, KEEPS ON and KEEPS ON about it is not his team

How many players has he brought in now????? YOU GUESS!

Caulker WAS BROUGHT IN BY GEOFF TWENTYMAN!

Next season the board will say we have no money

They rejected the vast amount of money offered by a couple of clubs for Maynard

So they make the decisions

And they have to respond to those decisions by putting the money back where they refused to put it now by selling and making money (Maynard will go for a bosman)

I think Steve Landsdown should return immediately to sort this puppet board out now

Ive stopped going now. If I can not support the manager then it is best to stay away

Yes I am the annoyed Nick who goes on the radio and has returned to refereeing until this club is put back where it belongs. A good Championship side. I have never thought we have a right to be in the prem, just a very good Championship side without a manager who keeps saying he is under pressure and has had long enough to prove himself at this club after all those players THAT HE HAS BOUGHT HIMSELF

It is time to get a new manager with his new ideals for this club, to have a chance, before it is to late

No but I am beyond happy (having a giggle) at your post.

Best if you stay away until you can jump back on the happy wagon in the future.

Your clearly not a supporter, but that's fine.

So scrumpy, he's not a super fan.

But are you going to argue with the rest of his points he makes?

Thought not....

Keith of course gets all the stick, which is what the Board wants, but there is legitimate criticism to be made of them, including of Steve.

It starts I think with an overnight change of strategy of a kind that Steve would never do in his business. We went from a "let's go for the Prem with a proven manager" to "let's slash the budget and give the job to a rookie" overnight. The situation was precipitated by Steve appointing a know flake when we allegedly had dozens of top quality applicants, any one of which was likely to have been more mentally stable than Coppell.

I have no doubt that we are aiming only for survival until the stadium is built (which may now be yet further delayed) and that no established manager would take the job knowing that was the limit of our ambition. That, and the fact that Keith is Steve's boy, means Keith's job is safe unless and until relegation looks a probability at some point after Christmas. There would then be another volte face I suspect with money thrown at a proven manager to save us.

A succession of confusing statements from the club as to what the strategy is (Colin and Keith only shared the same hymn sheet last week for instance), followed by an attempt to blame the fans for expecting promotion (which we do not) having themselves talked it up to sell season tickets and ludicrously told Maynard they want him to stay to spearhead our promotion challenge, have not helped.

Finally the handling of the Maynard situation, a combination of a macho stance and grovelling to him and allowing him to drag the situation on as long as it suits him (remember the 2 week deadline that never expired?) has created an impression of weakness and concession to player power.

God knows Keith has made some bad decisions and some ludicrous statements but the performance of those at the top of the club doesn't bear much scrutiny either.

Ever get the feeling the club is going around in circles?

We spent big on getting Danny Wilson in and supporting him with lots of transfer funds. Afterwards we got Tinnion in as the cheaper option, before we realised we need a quality coach to restructure the whole club so we then spent big on GJ, we then spent big on Coppell before deciding to go back to the cheap option again, which so isn't proving very good as we're in the bottom two of the division.

Seems to me like we spend a load, then save a load before spending a load, and at present we're in the save a load bracket with the cheap manager option.

There is a pattern isn't there? As say I cannot imagine Steve doing something similar in his business, Football does have that effect on successful business men it seems.:disapointed2se:

Relagation could cause a 1982

This club cannot afford to go down.

The new ground would be a White elephant.

Change will come soon.

Lets get this right. You've stopped going because they sacked you.
