There must be other ideas of similar nature ... lets find one that we can get going eh ??.Lets Start A Matchday Craze!! WE NEED A LAUGH & SOMETHING TO SMILE ABOUT AT THE GATE RIGHT NOW... DONT WE?? .

potbelly Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 These things happen naturally from time to time(candles, Bounce) but only when a team is doing well, not when the team is on it`s arse.
Alex#40 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 In light of the utter dross we're putting on show I was thinking we could all face the other way all game?
potbelly Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 In light of the utter dried we're putting on show I was thinking we could all face the other way all game? Good idea, lets copy the board
WhistleHappy Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 These things happen naturally from time to time(candles, Bounce) but only when a team is doing well, not when the team is on it`s arse. sod the team... if they cant make it enjoyable for us..... lets make it fun for ourselves, red socks or no red socks-red sunglasses or no red sun glasses its hardly gonna affect perfomance on the pitch (only wish it could) but whats wrong with trying to have a laugh in and around Ashton Gate while were waiting for something good to happen on the pitch? a couple of thousand people wearing red sunglasses has gotta force a few laughs outta a dire situation surely?... and when was the last time anyone wore red socks?? .. then suddenly everyones got 'em on - thats a bit of cheapo fun innit?... ffs we aint having a barrel of laughs thanks to the paid for 'entertainment' at the moment are we??
Frome Valley Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 These things happen naturally from time to time(candles, Bounce) but only when a team is doing well, not when the team is on it`s arse. Johnson said was contrived by a group of fans [Ysc/Forza EE] and sung deliberately when the team was losing. It does show how crazes can be created and support can be positively influenced by other fans.
WhistleHappy Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Forget boring £40 quid replica shirts etc.... All you need to be a City Fan from now on is a pair of red socks & a pair of red sunglasses - both for under a Tenner!! Lets have a bit of fun at last down the gate.. **** knows we deserve some!!
Oizys Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 & everyone wearing RED TINTED GLASSES ie: http://www.amazon.co...IN%3DB002VKBA1U Imagine the stands full of them !! There's still some people wearing rose tinted specs....not sure it'll catch on...seems to be more of a dying craze than a growing one...

How are people going to see the socks unless everyone turns up in shorts or wearing trousers like Simon Cowell. Unless we tucked our jeans/trousers, etc ... into our socks. That would be really classy ...
dragonreds Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 get rid of the awful roly polies at half time would cheer me up

Unless we tucked our jeans/trousers, etc ... into our socks. That would be really classy ... Aha, yes my friend... but those of us who are in the know will know & we will know what to look out for... you'd be able to spot a 'red sock' brethren a mile off before you could utter the words 'masonic lodge' .... These days its not too cool to be a football supporter in this town, so a discrete nod, wink & glance down at the ankles is a good way of knowing who's who etc.... the one with the clipboard is our present honorary leader -the clipboard is all thats needed to recognise 'the quiet one' - the name 'red sock brigade' brothers & sisters will know him by. Or you could just wear turned up Levis, bovver boots 'n braces to brazenly show off yer socks... & learn to walk like a bow legged chicken or a knock kneed hen... Either way The Gate ( Red Sock Brigade Lodge HQ) will be a better place for it... no-one will mess with the 'red-socks'. You are either with us or against us my friend. .. & its cold outside. So put yer socks on the radiator now - in time for Saturday ...You know it makes sense!!! .

Bit of fun on matchdays? why surrrrrre, how about we see a ball hitting the back of the away net and, dare we dream, a home winnnnnnnn. Narghhh... OK.. red socks it is then. mind you nobody would see em would they? did city not have a different first team colour back in the early days? if so everyone should wear that colour signifying city need to change the manager.... now that would be a good straw poll.. or... a lot easier just bring a small black flag and wave it at the gaffer.. only at the end of the match mind. Black hats, black bandannas.. anything BLACKKKKKKKK. Rebellion. one of the most beautiful words in the English language. no doubt whats his face will tell us where that one came from too... probably french. Lets turn the Gate BLACKKKKKKKKKK..
Worthingexile Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 How about red gaiters? That would solve the under the trouser issue, whilst giving a nod to our wurzels anthem. I think I'll approach dragons den, it's a sure fire winner.
