I saw him in the car park 10 mins before the game. Got out his car walked in to my path and then said sorry for messing up my stride.

That's the only thing you missed

saw him on a calendar if that counts?!haha

Have I missed something? Is he injured or just not in favour? Has he been playing in the reserves?

Big barney pre-season, they don't get on. No chance he will play in the first team... Unless we have a huge injury crisis.

Source someone who works at the club at witnessed it.

So unless there is a change of manager I doubt we will see him again.

If a new manager comes in maybe his attitude will change. Not just him but several players, remember players get managers sacked.

Quite likely, or maybe he just doesn't like being at the club and is looking for a way out.

Edit, Players will continue to get managers sacked, once you start changing the team, and new players come in, the atmosphere in in the dressing room start to change. When enough players don't particularly like what the manager is doing the performances drop of... in my opinion on purpose, in an attempt to remove the manager. I would hate to be a manger! you have to have a very thick skin.

If he was looking for a way out he would of went pre season, on good wages and obviously imo the clubs interested in him didn't rate him on the wages he is on here.

Well you would have thought so, but if no one wants you then you are screwed, I think we have seen that throughout the transfer window, no one wants our players, unless their contract has run out and they are not going to cost anything. The one exception being Maynard

This is totally ridiculous if it the reason he has not figured in the team and just illustrates how inept KM is. As a manager you have to deal will all sorts of personalities and deal with them in the best way to get the most out of them.

Is this not true in all forms of employment. Just because you don't get on with someone and because of that don't use them, even though they may be the best for the task required, rather demonstates your ability as a manager.

Unless there has been a breach of discipline, when the player should be dealt with under club procedures.

As a manager you go with your best players.

I thought Cisse finished last season strongly and expected him to be regular this season.

Depends what he did, if he has questioned the managers Authority then Millen has done the right thing, if it is just a normal work place argument then you both have to work through it.

I am not going to say who is right or wrong without being party to what exactly was said or done.

When things are going wrong now and then you got to swallow your pride as a manager and bring in players to do the job, i don't know what happened pre season between them but i agree he should be in the starting eleven.

It's funny how certain managers feel the need to build their own team, with players they have signed. I feel this is an ego trip for many a manager, that is not always beneficial to the Club.

We have 3 players in our squad Hunt, Stewart and Cisse, that have all worked for better managers than Millen and at higher levels. Allardyce with Hunt, Gregory with Stewart and Cisse played for Boavista and at Reading when they were in the Prem. You don't do that if your crap.

A number of good influential players have left in recent years...notably Basso, Hartley and Sno. All fell out with the then present manager. Millen learnt his trade under that manager (GJ) and i feel he has some of his trademarks. The biggest...falling out with players and letting personal issues blind his judgement.

In Theory, on paper a back four of Hunt, Stewart, Fontaine and Mcgivern would be superb.

With Adomah, Kilkenny,Cisse and another quality midfielder ( we need one )

Up front an interested, motivated Maynard and Pitman should bring goals. With Stead, Reid, Spence, Bolaise and Gerkin all good Subs covering every aspect.

We just need a manager who is experienced at this level and a good man manager, who doesn't let personal feelings cloud his judgement. You have to bring out the best in your players and do what's best for the Club...surely?

Many a good player has hated there managers, Wright at Arsenal used to row on a day to day basis sometimes coming to blows with George Graham on the training ground, it happens on the pitch as well Sherringham & Cole would not look at each other of the field they hated each other but when it came to game time they done it.

Cisse came back in terrible shape apparently and with a bad attitude

Decent player but is rightly 4th choice in midfield

As for Stewart, never seen a thing from him to consider him to be a decent player

Posted

I know sheringham and cole never got on ir spoke but two questions 1) anyone have a clue why ? 2) did fergie try and sort it out ? I can't imagine him standing for it

England game when Cole made his debut, he just walked past him didn't shake his hand when the sub was made as pathetic as that if i remember right, as for Ferguson putting up with it, you play for Ferguson or your out full stop.

Cisse and Kilkenny would be my choice for midfield two.

Both are decent on the ball and we would actually be able to play possession football!

A good manager accounts for different personalities, attitudes etc and balances them to create your best XI. Good management is not making a small number of players scapegoats and keeping them in the reserves. It seems to me that CIsse has been treated appallingly since he's been here. He was labelled as a Coppell signing after his departure and given no chance of starting. When he did finally get his chance he showed he's probably the best midfielder we had/have. KM couldn't wait for him to get injured so he could reinstall Skuse. That's how it's stood since then.

Cisse still could be our best midfielder, but we need to get rid of KM first to see him flourish.
