Sorry mods can't remember if this is allowable.

I have a ticket for the posh seats at Blackpool available at face value if anyone wants it. Also I've got two Adult wrist bands for the pleasure beach on the Sunday at half gate price £32. Email me at kilgoreklub@hotmail.com if interested. Around in North or Central Bristol all week so can probably get either to anyone easily. Now heading south on the day....long story.

Anyway, my thoughts on the season so far, tactics all wrong and just way to negative at home. What ever happened to the Maynard/Pitman partnership that we all saw so briefly towards the end of last season. Can't understand why Milen hasn't paired these two up front this season. Needs to give it another shot.

There has also been a lot of debate on the subject of whether James is still up to the task in goal. The first few games of the season when the young defence looked shaky to say the least he seemed to quite happy to dish it at anything the defence did wrong but was just a guilty of many of his own mistakes. That just seemed to make heads drop even further. Then James gets dropped Gerkin steps in and we win at Leicester. When Deano made the odd mistake the players seemed to rally around to keep his confidence up, something you never see when James makes a gaff. Then of course the unfortunate injury.

So I would love to see Deano get another chance with Maynard/Gerkin up front. As for the midfield, well what more can I add that hasn't already been said. No creativity and too many of the same type sat in the middle. When was the last time we had a decent attacking central midfielder?.......and no I'm not counting Scotty.

Changes need to be made and fast, maybe we can start tomorrow night.

Gerkin up front? Worth a try, if Jimmy Glass can do it....................

It does seem an odd suggestion but think about it. Gerken can "bully" the centre backs. He can be the "big man" in the "little man-big man" combination.

Also, if James gets injured we've already got a ready made replacement on the pitch which means no need for a substitute keeper!! One substitution place saved. For Pitman....

Hmmm, on reading that back it would suggest a 3 pronged attack, but hey maybe I'm a tactical genius in the making. Got to be worth a try!.
