Ran his socks off today, very good performance in my opinion.

Had a good game, being hyper critical he could have done better with the free header. Nicky also put in a 'good shift' as they say.

Thought both strikers played well...

Was also impressed with McGivern and thought Kilkenny stood out.

Agreed Mcgivern looked composed. Typically super Brett put in a full blooded city performance capped with a great strike... Still massively gutted

Brett is on fire and will get us goals in our games to come providing Millen doesn't play him as a winger or introduce him as an 88th minute sub.

His articulate pass set Albert up for our first and his instincts had him arriving just right for our second.

By contrast, I thought Nicky missed two sitters he should've buried and although he was 300% more active than on Saturday, wasn't at his sharpest. Again.

Him and Maynard were great together tonight, causing no end of problems. I have faith that those two will get many goals between them, but its whether we can keep them out at the other end that will decide our fate.

Hi lads,

I am doing a blog on our decimated squad from the last 12 months.

I'd like a few fans opinions on Brett, if you could PM me and help me out that would be great.

All the best for the season.
