westonred Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 According to Adam Bakers Twitter Interview with the #BristolCity chairman also on BBC Points West and Radio Bristol tonight. Lets hope for some good news
eskay Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Not what we want, that would have been announced at a press conference.
havanatopia Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Yep, it'll be business as usual. going public to try and paper over the enormous cracks. it won't work CS.
Guest bcfcboy96 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 We all know how cosy The Evening Post and BBC Points West are with the club. They haven't asked a probing question for years. I wouldn't be surprised if Millens name wasn't even mentioned, and the reporter was so frightened they just spent 5 minutes talking about the weather.
Kid in the Riot Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Sextoy doesn't mince his words to be fair and if he's frustrated with our current plight (which he should be) then it will show and he is likely to have some choice words. Obviously he's not going to announce the sacking of Millen, quite the opposite this confirms that he will be in charge at Blackpool
BCAGFC Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Pressure is really on on saturday, lose and Keef's gone IMO and they will appoint O'Driscoll (if he wants it) before the next home game. BCAGFC
The Casual Connoisseur Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Expect us putting 9'men behind the ball on Saturday and ensuring Keith gets his stay of execution, until at least we play our next home game, which I believe is mid October? Bottling it big time or buying some time?
Laner Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Ah the good ol "100 confidence in our manager" interview.... we all know what that nail in the coffin usually means.
Never to the dark side Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 quotes from Radio Bristol on the interview C.S. says its a game of ups and downs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David Brent Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 We all know how cosy The Evening Post and BBC Points West are with the club. They haven't asked a probing question for years. I wouldn't be surprised if Millens name wasn't even mentioned, and the reporter was so frightened they just spent 5 minutes talking about the weather. Judging by BBC interviews I'm predicting Colin to reveal that:- His favourite colour is red. His lucky number is 3. His favourite food is Pizza. His favourite band is Westlife. And He wears his lucky red pants for each game.

Bottling it big time or buying some time? If it gives us a win then that is good for Bristol City Football Club and KM deserves to have more time. Obviously not for the agenda merchants though. If we lose, then a change has to be made.......as long as it isn't that **** Billy Davies. BCAGFC
Donald Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I'd imagine it's just this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15099247.stm Twentyman doing interview, ask's the right questions and can't fault him for that.
BCFC Jordan Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Better interview than the one of official site imo. Twentyman asks some good questions and puts CS under pressure.
Donald Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Better interview than the one of official site imo. Twentyman asks some good questions and puts CS under pressure. Indeed. Nothing against Adam Baker, but he's likely got to be careful with his questions, Twentyman in fairness will always ask the questions that need to be asked, harsh but fair
BCFC Jordan Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Yep, Adam couldn't ask those questions when employed by the club. I'm not criticising him either. Interesting that CS avoids a lot of questions regarding how much time Keith has left to turn it around.
Pewsham Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Cracking good persistence from Twentyman. Is Sexstone's last comment a telling one though... "Saturdays game is absolutely crucial for us"
Tim S Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15099247.stm The key in this interview for me comes after 5 minutes when he starts talking about Saturdays game. "Its a big game" with a sly smile then backtracking a bit "every game is a big game". Reading between the lines... Saturday is make or break. Loose and thats it for Millen.
Guest CIDERARMY1986 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Just watched the interview on the CITY PLAYER with Sextoy and i feel like he is so deluded it is unbelieve so it makes me think Millen will be in a job untill it is to late and he also thinks the shite attendances at the gate is a trend in the climate of footbll is this bloke actually so deluded that he can't see past his own nose he has to get rid of millen and he has to go now before it is to late.

International Break is coming at a good time, if we lose and Millen goes, it gives us a good 2 weeks until our next game and to get someone else in. (just a shame so many players are away on international duty)
Guest fabio Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 He didn't look to much behind Millen when asked if they will back him. More like back the club and if that means km goes then so be it. He is never going to say if we lose sat he's gone nor that its on the cards. If millen
The Casual Connoisseur Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 The points west interview revealed naff all, great piece on cutting hedges immediately after though!!!!
Guest fabio Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 He didn't look to much behind Millen when asked if they will back him. More like back the club and if that means km goes then so be it. He is never going to say if we lose sat he's gone nor that its on the cards. If millen is in charge after international break then I'll be shocked! Unless we start winning. We played well last night and still lost by 2silly goals again David James's fault so changes a must sat with deano. If we play like we did last night we may get something, giving Mullen more time
Forza Revolution Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I got the impression he is not behind K. Millen. Might aswell leave him in charge until blackpool as we wont get a new chap in in time! Soon as we lose on sat we have time to get a new chap in
Guest fabio Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Possibly wait for international break depending on result but surely it's going to happen soon if we don't pick up points
The Casual Connoisseur Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Where will the inevitable draw leave us?
Kid in the Riot Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Where will the inevitable draw leave us? Not convinced that will be enough to save him his job, victory required
havanatopia Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 3 games since Blackpool have won. Not as if Ollie has sufficient ammo to fire up his troops already; this stat will be foremost in their minds. an Early goal by either team then will be absolutely essential in more ways than one.
eskay Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Well if you believe the rumours then it is Dave Jones on 1st Oct once his gardening leave finishes at cardiff.
havanatopia Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Well if you believe the rumours then it is Dave Jones on 1st Oct once his gardening leave finishes at cardiff. So you are saying he will be in charge for this saturday then? !!!
Dolman Queen Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Well if you believe the rumours then it is Dave Jones on 1st Oct once his gardening leave finishes at cardiff. Which fits in with what was going around a few weeks ago. I think you have to look at what wasn't said, rather than what was! Ever hopeful for a necessary change, DQ
Kibs Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 A mate in work who lives up north but works down here mon-thurs Said to me today "I saw your manager on the news this morning, he's a bit wet in't he, you'll need someone tougher than that to keep you up" He is a rugby fan, not really that keen on football. He managed to devise from one short clip of an interview on the news that Millen is boring, uncharismatic and wet. He could be wrong of course but I could hardly argue with him.....
Rocky Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Good on Twentyman, put Sextoy under pressure.
