Just wondering from those that went last night what your thoughts are on JCR's overall performance? I know he had a couple of shots but beyond that I thought he was indecisive, had a poor touch, made costly errors in defensive positions and added very little in terms of attacking play. In my opinion he's not good enough.

the three main problems for JCR are

1 he never looks up to see who is around him.

2 when running with the ball he never has it under control. he seems to get faster and faster with the ball running further away from his body

3 he cant cross with his left foot, as a left winger i would say this is an essential part of his game ( not his fault he plays on the left, he gets told to play there)

Definitely not good enough. I thought he had a poor game last night and was the obvious candidate to be subbed but no. Take off our best player and put a striker in his place on the left wing! JCR is hesitant, indecisive and infuriating! Why Millen can't give Bolasie a chance is beyond me.

I'm a big fan of JCR. He's been one of our best players this season. I don't like to criticise any of our players but he was atrocious last night. Sorry Jamal. I think generally he's underrated. Keeping hold of the ball isn't always a bad thing.

I concur with the above, JCR is probably the only truly creative player we have at the gate this season. I would have subbed him last night as he had a mare, and the fact that he was not, was a glaring example of Millens ineptness, but he has been one of our best players this season, and was for most of the second half of last season too.

Big fan, I like the way he will take on players. His only problem at the moment is consistency.

Would agree not his best game last night but he's been good this season

why doesnt anyine start athread about Marvin ? I am sure his ProZone stats are brilliant nut he rarely positively influences the game and most of his places are backwards and often hit with the wrong amount of pace and he chases and gets in lots of challenges but rarely takes the ball - he's a gtreat lad and Keith clearly rates him but I think he's ;ost his way

Another +1.

Made the decision to bring off Albert for Taylor even more shocking that it would of been, even if JCR had been playing well.

Absolutely spot on. :clapping:

As for JCR, it is nice to have someone who can dribble the ball upfield and gain us dozens of yards of possession, but he hasn't made the telling passes he can do in the last two games.

If Jamal could score goals, he'd be a PL player. But he can't. :(

Hang on a minute.... Jolly Cobbler Red = JCR - something you not mentioned?

Well spotted..........:D

JCR = No end product.

At least his mazy runs down blind alley way's take 5 minutes of pressure off our back line.

Hopefully he'll be released at the end of the season.

Thought he was as per usual complete shit.

He just does the same thing over, and over again. Drible for 5 yards, then cut inside, it's quite comical really. Defenders just show him outside, then he still tries to cut back and looses the ball.

His passing is complete garbage, his crossing is terrible and his decision making is even worse.

Albert was on the left wing for all of a minute against reading, he picked the ball up, drove to the by-line, crossed for pitman and we scored. JCR was on the left wing for the rest of the game and had a shot, put in some terrible crosses, and gave the ball away more often than not, and it's not as if he was particularly bad, he was just his usual self.

He has some merit playing in the center, i could at least put together a flimsy argument for him to play in the hole, but even then his passing a decision making would make it a stupid one, but as a left winger he is just terrible, I have never seen a winger with less end product than JCR, i'd rather we went out and re signed Scott Murray to play on the left than have that bag of shit in the side.

Up until Reading, JCR was (one of) the best of a bad bunch... BUT at Reading he the Worst of a good bunch (well for 70 mins anyway), and played a big part in what went wrong towards the end of the second half... :gasmask:

At best he is average, but when the others are not performing, it makes him look better than he is. :boxing:

Haven't you heard , despite being 22 , he's one for the future ! :whistle2:

Did anyone notice near the ned when McGivern had the ball he went to play it down the line and JCR did some weird giant spin and ran basically blind to the tough line when he only had to run forward? I couldn't believe it!

For the small period of time they spent together McGivern and Adomah looked class together...looked like they new what they wanted each player wanted. But they the ideal of JCR and Carey down one side bores the hell out of me.

Has anyone seen enough of Bolasie to be able to judge whether he'd be better?

JCR has supplied the crosses for a number of goals in his time here. I do concede that he's lost form at the momkent though.

Spot on mate, awful player and part of the reason millen will get the boot,

Horrificly poor player

Offers nothing, scared of the ball and of taking players on

Just catching up on all your thoughts - is Red Robbo really of the opinion that Jamal would be premier league player if he could score goals?!! Or does he mean pub league?! As others have said, he's too predictable, makes bad decisions especially in defence and isnt the out and out winger we need. I'd rather see Woolford play left wing.
