Mrdc Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 It has to be back 4-5-1. An ultra defensiver performance and aim for a 0-0. Dont really think it matters who plays or what formation as we will still get hammered.

Robbored Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Spence hasn't played since the Leeds game when he was at serious fault for the winning goal. He could be due for a recall especially if Skuse is injured, but I'd expect Millen to stay with the team that played tuesday night, injuries permitting. He'll want to give them chance to redeem themselves and they'd be right up for it. He may consider dropping James again after his less than impressive performance midweek but once again much depends on how fit Gerkin is. One thing for sure - Pitman to start. He was fantastic against Reading. Some fans are calling for Cisse but I think its pretty obvious that Millen has decided who his match day squad will be when everyone's fit. . If he was considering Cisse for a recall we'd have seen him on the bench by now.
Guest sportingmad0209 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Same as Reading... Except Gerks in for DJ, and maybe Cisse in for Killkenny (we need a tackler in the midfield)?
Cornacix the Druid Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 It's interesting to see poeple putting Hunt and Cisse in the side, and that mostly the personel or core of the team is the same. To those who say we need to play a defensive 4-5-1 are probably right, but I would like to hope that we have the intelligence and/or guts to go for it if we're getting the better of things.
Pete1975Legend Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 THis gerken love in is worse than the Skuse one. There is no way gerken can play instead of James sorry.......
!james Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 be interested to know why people above think Nyatanga should be dropped? Im not his biggest fan at all but even i will admit he was probably the best player on the pitch for us on Tuesday
Big Red Rich Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 THis gerken love in is worse than the Skuse one. There is no way gerken can play instead of James sorry....... What are you apologising for? There is every way that Gerken can play instead of James - James was shocking on Tuesday and has let in goals galore this season. Our only win has been with Gerken in goal and he deserves a recall. And I'm not going to apologise............

Bar BS3 Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Just out of interest..... Are those suggesting that Nicky Hunt should get a recall straight into the 1st team, away at an attacking team like Blackpool, the ones that have the cheek to call Millen clueless?! Also, would they be happy to accept the consiquences if he performed like he did in his last appearance in the Bristol City First team?

Cornacix the Druid Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 You're gonna be disappointed. yeah, i know i'll not see that team I put at the top of this Thread, but it's who I'd like to see. What I think millen would do is: James. Spence, Wilson, Tangs, Mcgivern. JCR, Skuse, Killa, Elliot, Adoma. Maynard. Bench: Pitman, stead, Carey, Gerks & Taylor, Although I do think he should give a midfielder a chance instead of a forward. e.g. Bolaise.

Cornacix the Druid Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 3 strikers on the bench. madness it's what he did in the week against Reading wasn't it?
Cornacix the Druid Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 Sorry, my bad, pitman started didn't he. What I was trying to get across was when he needed defensive / mildfield options in the week the bench was sadly lacking.
