miketh2nd Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 can tell things are dire when you start a topic on our starting 11 with nearly a hour until kick off! anyway as for 70 minutes we showed we a decent enough team but away from home on current form think we have to play 4-5-1 and only dropped Maynard because Pitman is on fire. Gerken Carey Nytanga Wilson Mcgivern Cisse Adomah Kilkenny Elliot JCR Pitman Yes I know Cisse won't even make the bench but I'd still play him if was upto me. If that doesn't work I'd be tempted to try Adomah upfront with Pitman put JCR on the right where he can use his half decent right foot to cross. Then bring off one of the central 3 for Bolaise , not only have we barely seen him play but have we got that much to loose? This way we should keep the ball on the deck which saw such good results on tuesdays before 72nd minute.
dragonreds Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 i'd bring in gerken and bolasie for james and JCR, blackpool are very attacking so maybe the extra pace on the left could make a difference. If it was up to me cisse would play as well but i can't see that happening for some reason.
Tim S Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 It will be the same starting line up that started against Reading but with Gerkin in for James I would imagine. Gerkin Carey Wilson Nyatanga McGivern Adomah Elliot Kilkenny Campbell-Ryce Pittman Maynard
dragonreds Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 bean_head Adam Baker #BristolCity v #Blackpool - Gerken; Carey, Wilson, Nyatanga, McGivern; Adomah, Elliott, Kilkenny, Campbell-Ryce; Pitman, Maynard. lets make this the match thread
Tim S Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Just been confirmed.... this IS todays starting 11 It will be the same starting line up that started against Reading but with Gerkin in for James I would imagine. Gerkin Carey Wilson Nyatanga McGivern Adomah Elliot Kilkenny Campbell-Ryce Pittman Maynard
Guest BONDIE Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Bolasie should be given a chance now! Hes alright on fifa too!
REDOXO Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 David James being dropped after Tuesday is a no brainer...Jamo should start his coaching career about now! Good Luck to the team today, I hope a win against Mr Holloway will go some way toward wiping out the memory of the last week!!
SJC Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 That bench must win the award for 'Most players who are either pissed off or disillusioned with the manager' . . . . Allegedly/assumingly of course.
miketh2nd Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Interesting subs - Taylor,Woolford,Spence,Cisse and James So at last Cisse may well get his chance to prove himself if he gets a part in todays game but I suppose as much as people say there must be things between him and Millen anyone else just thought that Millen bought in Kilkenny and realised he had too many central midfielders so had to try and sell one he choose Cisse as may actually be able to sell him for cash but didn't work out then tried loan and still not so now back in contention. Seems crazy but it's just funny that people always so negative on here. On a side note seems Stead could either be on his 2nd year syndrome as a few had predicted and Woolford must of had a good week in training to oust Bolaise who we still actually yet to see for more than a minute.
Guest DJCasablanca Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Nice to see Kalifa restored to the playing squad. Maybe Keef does read the forum!
megansdad Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Nice to see Kalifa restored to the playing squad. Maybe Keef does read the forum! maybe he's now fit and ready for action...
SC_Red Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 That bench must win the award for 'Most players who are either pissed off or disillusioned with the manager' . . . . Allegedly/assumingly of course. only spence can be justifiably pissed off at not being on the pitch. If they want to start games maybe they should start playing better
Guest MC Risk Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Glad Gerken is back in goal and hope he gets some luck with injuries from now on, dont want to see James in goal again
Dan Robin Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Hard match today....I would be satifsfied with a point. The defence doesn't give me good sensations....and I guess Stead could have been important for us today, but I hope Nicky will return scoring from today C'MON YOU ROBINS!
downendcity Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 That bench must win the award for 'Most players who are either pissed off or disillusioned with the manager' . . . . Allegedly/assumingly of course. As the subs sit by him on the bench, perhaps Millen is following the principle that you keep your friends close and your enemies even closer!
Keith_Lemon Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Almost given away a penalty already? Did I hear that correctly?
SJC Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 only spence can be justifiably pissed off at not being on the pitch. If they want to start games maybe they should start playing better Personally I think Woolford can justifiably feel hard done by. Granted he hasnt set the world alight, but I don't think he's done too much wrong, hasn't been given a run in the side and has featured at left back on occasion, a position he has stated hr doesn't favour. I don't know the circumstances surrounding Cisse. If you do, and Millen is 'in the right', fair do's. It was more a generic comment than a poke at the manager.
RedM Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Is it just me that can only find egg chasing on BBC radio Bristol? I got commentary on fm, 95.5
downendcity Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Steve Bruce might be intereresed in coming here as Sunderland have gone 2 down at home to West Brom after only 5 minutes!

Woolford seems to be thought of by the Scunnie fans about the same as we think of Scott Murray, but we haven't seen a glimpse of that yet. As you say he doesn't favour the LB position he is often put in, or brief glimpses of him as sub. Cisse I thought finished last season strongly and seemed to be settled, the summer break seems to have changed things as well as us buying Kilkenny.
Sir Colby-Tit Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Nice to see Kalifa restored to the playing squad. Maybe Keef does read the forum! Do you think he'd be on the bench if Skuse was available?
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I thought there would of been a goal by now if i'm honest
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 What has happened to Stead? is he injured? If he's fit he should be on the bench instead of Taylor all day long...
Calculus Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 It means a load of bananas are dancing together in a row. ... and if it's any help there are 11 of them. perhaps he's saying the team are playing like dancing bananas,

slartibartfast Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 The Bananas thing started after the Swindon game when everyone was going on about Millen folding his arms and he should be more like Di Canio, going nuts up and down the touchline...... Mr Mosquito Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Blackpool - Hitlers attended English capital. Never got bombed. Indeed, Blackpool and Oxford were never bombed by Hitler's German Luftwaffe. It may actually have been Oxford intended as Hitler's new capital of England and Blackpool as a Hitlerite pleasure resort.
WhistleHappy Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 You're on a whole new level with cryptic crosswords you are. totally lost!! bit of a bourbon if you ask me...
havanatopia Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 ...... Ross County 1-0 up away at Raith Rovers. Blackpool not being bombed by the krauts is connected then? matty; you have a challenger to cryptic genius.

SC_Red Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Indeed, Blackpool and Oxford were never bombed by Hitler's German Luftwaffe. It may actually have been Oxford intended as Hitler's new capital of England and Blackpool as a Hitlerite pleasure resort. either that or they looked at Blackpool and decided someone had already bombed it for them

Robin101 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Indeed, Blackpool and Oxford were never bombed by Hitler's German Luftwaffe. It may actually have been Oxford intended as Hitler's new capital of England and Blackpool as a Hitlerite pleasure resort. Did not know!

havanatopia Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 The Ross County scorer was Scott Boyd....... ......McMenamin also hit the bar after 32 minutes......... (Carry on........) How about Fraserburgh?
Roadrunner Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I like your sense of hurmour. either that or they looked at Blackpool and decided someone had already bombed it for them
Roger Red Hat Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 The Ross County scorer was Scott Boyd....... ......McMenamin also hit the bar after 32 minutes......... (Carry on........) Who got the assist on Boyd's goal?
havanatopia Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 BCFC down to ten men... Source? Oh brian little. yeah.. he was good for Airdrie in his day. now he has a garden centre in Kircaldy. Brechin City that is. Lister sent off after 38 minutes for serious foul play.
Fiale Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Been playing quite well so far, sounds like we have had most possession and some nice spells of passing.
havanatopia Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Im bored ...I know, lets play "Guess the amount of Users" online when the Half-Time whistle gooes.... Me first...... 408 1
havanatopia Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Who got the assist on Boyd's goal? I heard it was a solo effort from inside his box
Fiale Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I was half way out of my seat just then thought we were about to score, 8 seconds later opposite end and we are 1-0 down
Tom Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Oh no a "mistake" from Gerken. Seems both Goalkeepers want Millen out! .
