"apparently" resignation offered direct to Lansdown this evening

Millen has agreed to stay until a suitable replacement has found.

Believe me, if you like or dislike, next 10 days will prove me right or wrong........

All this talk is immaterial, Millen will be gone in the VERY near future. I can't begin to think how low the next home gate would be if he were not sacked!

This would be the best solution all round - and shows what a decent guy KM is.

It may mean he is in charge for another game or two even, but if SL has his support in looking for his replacement, then it will give us the time that we need to find the right person.

that doesn't make sense why would a Resignation be offered to Lansdown when he's Chairman of The Club, don't you mean to write Resignation Offered Direct To Millen Tonight, if people believe what you say their Fools, just so everyone knows READ the Article on OFFICIAL BRISTOL CITY FC Website , MILLEN is staying and fighting no matter what

I have followed Donalds comments for a while and doesn't write rubbish.

From experience I know that sexey doesn't like things getting onto the forum

The rumour flying around here at the moment is that Dave Jones will be here by Thursday...

I have no idea who started it but its rife here at the moment

Make of it what you will......

I should also point out this started Thursday NOT after todays night mare

still doesn't explain why Donald has said ''Resignation Offered Direct To Lansdown Tonight'' when he should have written ''Resignation Offered Direct To Millen Tonight'' which means he messed up and didn't double check what he had written before sending it and obviously hadn't checked The Latest Keith Millen Article on Official Bristol City Website first other wise he would have Known Millen and Lansdown won't go anywhere anytime soon

Posted

I doubt Landsdown has just updated his Facebook with this? how can such a story be leaked from his mansion in Guernsey!?

Lansdown was at game.

despite no longer being chairman, Millen has "apparently" gone directly to him.

I've said it before Sexstone despite being very good at the day to day business, still reports to the man who effectively owns the club.

As I said before, only the next 10 DAYS will prove me right or wrong, things constantly change however I expect to be hammered if proven wrong. However I don't believe that will be the case

What gets said publically and what happens in private are always different stories

Not sure what you are having trouble with.:dunno:

An employee offers their resignation to their employer.

BTW Sexton is now the Chairman.

So if KM is relieved of his duties in the next 10 days , you will claim to be correct?? Sorry mate , IMO if he had offered to resign tonight we would already now about. I think the whole world and his wife knows he wont be in charge against Posh.

Posted

Im sorry but I dont believe this one bit.

For a start, anything between Millen & Lansdown would stay private between the two.

Plus Millen would not come out and make a statement like "I will keep on fighting" then offer his resignation. Im sure he is feeling very low right now but he is a bigger man than that.

I believe its just the OP having a wild stab at whats going on behind the scenes and hoping that he will get lucky.

When/if anything happens, you will hear it first through Adam Baker on Twitter or through the Official Website.

I think you can't really read much into the "I'll keep on fighting" article. It just tells us what we already knew - that KM won't quit. It wouldnt be a very humane way to sack Millen if CS sacked him before he had to travel back to Bristol on the team bus - imagine how uncomfortable that'd be for him.

I'm confident that CS has sharpened his axe and in the coming days it'll find it's target.

Posted

Donald is wrong on this one - in the story he's told re KM offering to resign

however - to say he'll be gone in 10 days is a no brainer, try walking into Ladbrookes and putting a bet on KM leaving by the next game.

I've heard that the sun will rise tommorrow - but I can't divulge my source.

Donald,

with all due respect you will NOT be wrong and equally you are NOT sticking your neck out. It is blatantly obvious that he will be gone so you could make anything up along the lines of KM going and we would be none the wiser; he will be gone.

Posted

It's highly likely km will go so we'll never know if donalds info was correct or bs

we can have a guess though. I know what my moneys on

l smell sag :clapping:

To be fair, his name is bound to be in the frame due to the connections. Would be a very unlikely contender, but not something to completely dismiss.

Posted

Donald's post is not inconsistent with a rumour I have heard that the only reason that Millen has remained in post is that against the urging of a unanimous board, SL, as de facto owner of BCFC would not sack him. Hence the reason why he would tender his resignation to SL directly. Makes sense if the rumour about his veto is true.

Just what i heard sag I dont think so ee season ticket holder past 10 years. Never posted before im only passing on a rumour. i just hope they get rid of KM now!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, like he was a big success last time he returned? No thanks.

He's been studying under Redknapp since.

Don't get me wrong... he would be far from my first choice...

...but him or Millen?

Millen and Jordan - that's the sort of half arsed change i can see happening.

Although I never favour old managers returning JJ would be the sort of character we need right now. A slap on the back of the legs for Cole Skuse and an hour's detention and Keith put on toilet cleaning duties indefinitely.

I wonder how Paul Hartley would shape up as a boss?

I think Mark McGhee wouldn't be a bad shout.

Indeed, I did

Don't regret posting it, however as it was what I was told at the time, bottom line is, importantly he's gone

How grown-up of you however to go trolling through old threads, to say......oh your wrong. knob.

Now now children.

Main thing is, Millen is gone. Onwards and upwards, whoever we get, we gotta give them (the manager) 100% backing.

as for the players, they really need to use this week long break to look at themselves and pull their finger out.
