glynriley Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Lets assume SL is lining up a new manager as we speak. Whoever it is must , IMO , have the balls from the outset to do 3 things. Tell SL he wants to bring in all his own staff. Tell SL he wants funds made available straight away for loan signings Ask Maynard if he is going to sign a new contract. If the answer is no he should look to build his new side without him. If we end with a guy who is happy with keeping a poor back room staff and a player who is looking to leave , we've probably got a weak willed manager. Whoever it is has to show some back bone and authority right from the start.
Red_Jim Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 Spot on. That's exactly how I see it - the new man (assuming the board have any sense and sack Millen) needs to bring a completely fresh approach. In a perfect world, when I go to my next game at Crystal Palace on the 18th I'd love to see a new team in the dugout, with a freshness and a sense of new beginning. If Millen is still in charge then I can't stomach going - that's how strongly I feel.
