Economou Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Well respected manager with loads of International experience. Think she'd do a better job than Gary Neville anyway
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I agree she is a credit to English football but i don't think so somehow.

Riaz Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Thats it. I'm taking a break from this forum. Haha. Thought I'd heard it all!
Chivs Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Did a good job in Iraq though why people keep mispronouncing his name I don't know.
Esmond Million's Bung Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 How about Cheri Lunghi she did a good job after a dodgy start.
Murraysrightplum Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 FFS. I did well coaching my local side. They're a bit better than England ladies so maybe I'm in the running?
Keepers Ball Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 no women in football !!!! in fact id go the whole hog and ban them altogether
Bris Red Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Haha im sure she could motivate the team at half time!
Brizzle Jordan Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 no women in football !!!! in fact id go the whole hog and ban them altogether Haha! That made me chuckle i must admit.
coxyboy Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Tell me this is a wind up and you are a Gas Head please!
Monkeh Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 She is a good manager but she would never command the respect from the crowd or players she would deserve
Economou Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 Tell me this is a wind up and you are a Gas Head please! a) of course b) how dare you ! Just a reaction to the Gary Neville thread.
pride of the west Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 OP, have you ever heard her speak about football? Its actually cringeworty. Dont know why shes that highly thought of to be honest. Did she ever win anything with england womans?
redlandrebel Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 FFS. I did well coaching my local side. They're a bit better than England ladies so maybe I'm in the running? Not a real contender but still a zillion times better than your local side. The England women's team has a significantly better record of success than the men's team, so show some respect FFS.
The Bard Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Was this serious? No one has given any real reason why this is a bad idea. Basically, refusing to take the suggestion seriously for the simple reason that the candidate is a woman. If any woman is ever going to manage a man's side it's her. She's got a reputation for being a hard taskmaster taskmistress. She'd bust a few balls, which is what some say our underachieving players need.

Certainly need somebody who will kick a few asses into shape. However, Hope Powell also had a reputation of picking her favourites over and above those who were not. Sentiment can be a dangerous thing - ask Keith

For starters women's football isn't even near conference football in terms of standard of football - so it would be worse than appointing the bath city manager!
Rudolf Hucker Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Oh dear. For starters women's football isn't even near conference football in terms of standard of football - so it would be worse than appointing the bath city manager! ... but at least the kit would be ironed nicely
