Tomo Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I know it can take time but is anyone already fed up waiting for the new manager to be announced ? All this speculation, O'Neill, Jones, THE Scottish Bloke, - let's get it done and out on the table, I am probably being very impatient (that happens at the age of 40) - but surely we need a manager in place by the end of play tomorrow ? This will give the new manager all of next week to analyse and assess what needs to be done and what his 1st side will be against the mighty Peterborough ! Come on Steve, get things in place and get Mr Sexton to do the talking (what he likes best). I am now fed up with regards to the maybe's - We all are ? Tomo
Red-Robbo Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I'd rather they took their time and did it right to be honest than take a rush decision and up with a Millen mk2 scenario. Look at all the options, interview thoroughly and negotiate a fair but not overly generous contract with whoever is chosen. Tough for us fans, I know, but in the best interests of the club.
The hand of RO'D Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Feels like it's been dragging on for months, but it's only weeks! I expect them to get the done sorted for Monday after long hard discussions over the weekend.. Who.. I couldn't tell you.. Have to agree, I think we will see an announcement Monday
Nibor Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Feels like it's been dragging on for months, but it's only weeks! I expect them to get the done sorted for Monday after long hard discussions over the weekend.. Who.. I couldn't tell you.. Days even. I just hope that Lansdown and Sexstone get the judgement right, the track record isn't exactly inspiring. I think it's likely we'll see an announcement early next week too - enough time to spend a few days with the squad before a game.
Tomo Posted October 6, 2011 Author Posted October 6, 2011 Agree to a certain extent, but every company (and football is a business) should have a contingency plan in place. It wasn't rocket science that things were looking pretty grim for Keith, To be fair there are only say 5 names to consider O'Neill Jones Curbs Hoddle Zola That's if we want to progress of course ! Tomo
Guest newyear'sday97 Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Most people in Perth bored with it too if it helps
RedRaw Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Feels like it's been dragging on for months, but it's only weeks! Well actually its only days.......4 in fact, barely enough time to have conducted interviews
Judge Roughneck Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 **** me, longest interview i've had was 2 hours.

Rocky Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 **** me, longest interview i've had was 2 hours. KFC must have a strict recruitment policy?
RedRaw Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 **** me, longest interview i've had was 2 hours. its not about how long interviews actually take place......... Millen was sacked Monday.....I know that sometimes things happen quickly but the board made it clear they were going to take their time in coming to the right decsion. My guess.................it would have probably taken until the end of Tuesday / Wednesday to have an indication of who had applied or been targeted. Wednesday to sift through and start arranging interviews which would have probably started late Wednesday/ Today. They will continue probably upto and including the weekend depending on how many so that during the weekend/Monday a decision will be made and an announcement Monday / Tuesday There you go.......and the new boss will be.....................................................................
downendcity Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Ive been bored with BCFC bumping about at the bottom of the championship since the start of the season. I would rather be bored waiting for the club to make the right appointment, than remain bored with a relegation battle.
redlandrebel Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Bored too. And you know what they say, a watch kettle never boils... Reckon we'll know by Tuesday at the latest and if it means waiting till then for the right decision so be it. Yes it's a four horse race - but Hoddle, Zola - please!? SOD, Del Boy, Robins and Jones - in that order. That's it. Off to watch The Fades on the iPlayer.

I was reading this bloody forum rather than watch it!
