Vincent Vega Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I no mcinnes has permission to talk but has robbins been confirmed? according to radio Bristol
Dynamite Red Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 i did the same poll a week ago. !! Christ you must be psychic.
exAtyeoMax Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 according to radio Bristol and on BCFC website - had text alert this evening
Red Robin Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Well if this is what is best for BCFC then so be it. Robins simply because he has some experience. The Scottish league is second division apart from a couple of sides. Still think this is down to finances, neither feels. Me with confidence. Think we are in for a long long hard season.
Guest SUMMAT OUTTA NOWT Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Absolutely 100%, most definate no moving in any way............ NONE OF THE ABOVE. Both will fail.
REBS14 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I have read so many posts and arguments for and against on this forum and to me the negativity is astounding - FFS surely we will be a better and stronger club if everyone got behind the boards appointment and moved forward as a club, whoever it may be. Yes, everyone will have there own IMO they are the best for the club opinions but lets give the new guy a chance. All i care about is BCFC and where we are going, my anger is more vented towards those opposing the ground and really taking the *** in their list of pathetic excuses and stalling tactics - we will get our ground !!!!! in answer to the thread Del Boy all day everyday, MR does not feel me with any type of excitement whatsoever - from all the candidates i reckon he will sort out the current squad, motivate or move em out, im sorry but DJ is proven yes but he would have had the board digging deep - But like i said whoever gets the nod i am on their side - City till i die !

I don't like abuse on this forum, so I will just say that you have no way of knowing that. It really is tempting to tell you what I think of you, though.
bearded_red Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 By no means do I think that Robins is the clueless no hoper that some people on this forum are making him out to be. In fact if we appointed him I would be content, not over the moon and certainly not excited, but content. The job he did at Barnsley is exactly the job we need someone to do here until May. Keep us up! Having said that if it really is down to those two then I really hope we go for McInnes. Maybe it is simply the fact he is a bit of an unknown quantity, but he excites me. My knowledge of Scottish Football is half decent, by no means amazing, but for a quite a while I've thought to myself that 'that bloke at St Johnstone is doing one hell of a decent job'. I said after Millen went that we need someone to unite this club and give it back the 'us against the world' mentality that GJ managed after the relatively poor start to the season, Brad and Louis fighting and the three players going to Prison. For that we need someone who is young, hungry and ambitious, not someone who sees City as 'just another job'. For this reason I didn't really want SoD to take over. I think he is an excellent manager and wanted him to get the job when we gave it to Coppell, but he isn't suited to our present situation in my opinion. Right man, wrong time. I wouldn't say I know an awful lot about McInnes, but it is plain to see he has something special. He might turn out to be a failure, of course he might, but I'd be delighted if we take a punt on him. What I would say is don't expect miracles instantly, the sad reality of the situation is that 21st position in May is OK. Then in the summer and next season we need to progress and develop. I really hope that McInnes is the man in charge of this development.
