Guest jrw1978 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 There doesn't seem to be one person that saw Mark Robins at the ground today, whilst myself and many other people witnessed Sean O'Driscoll sat with us in D block of the Dolman. So surely these are the genuine final 2.

Brizzle Jordan Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 CS said in an interview it could be 3 which would most definatley be Del, Robins and SOD.
Bar BS3 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Really? Because the person I spoke to that "saw SoD and had a picture of it, said he was in williams?!
WRERE Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I think the two were SoD + Robins because Sexstone wasn't sure if they could come to a compensation fee with St Johnstone which they would've paid, but now it's been agreed I think it's been changed to a 3 man shortlist.
Slave to the rhythm Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Really? Because the person I spoke to that "saw SoD and had a picture of it, said he was in williams?! No, he was deffo in the Dolman. I'm really curious about why Dave Jones is no longer in the running. Anybody have any idea why he's been ruled out?

Anybody have any idea why he's been ruled out? Dave Jones might of pulled out after talks with us, either that or the panel weren't that impressed.

Wages to high. Did not impress in initial interview. Didn't want the job. Those can be the only three reasons he his not in the final three

RedZepperin Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I think that the profile the interviewers have come up with this time has been greatly influenced by the Steve Coppell fiasco. Namely, our next manager must not be like Steve Coppell. That's why CS talks of "freshness" and "drive" and being able to fit in at the club. Coppell had the skills but had no motivation, was burnt out and was not going to fit in. I suspect that when they talked with Dave Jones, or when they discussed his candidature, too many Coppellesque issues arose.

Warwickshire Red Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Another poster spoke with SOD today. Said he hadn't applied or been interviewed so may not be one of the 2 anyway. Was taking notes though so who knows?
Guest jrw1978 Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I don't know who that is, but it definitely isn't O'Driscoll. I was sat on the row in front of him in the Dolman and it was definitely him. I even had a good gawk at him when I walked past him after the final whistle and noticed he had a prominent spot on the bottom of his left cheek, which he has on photos of him on Google images.
Warwickshire Red Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 ? That looks more like Trollope than Robins though and I don't think the former was in the running.
Pederho ll Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I can't believe anybody would want to manage this group of players.

Slave to the rhythm Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Seems an awful waste of money to buy someone a ticket just to work out how to beat us at Ashton Gate... He wouldn't have paid. Complimentary tickets are the norm for the scouts and representatives of other clubs.
