NOTR Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 SSN report its far from cut and dried and that he hasn't put pen to paper.
Rudolf Hucker Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 SSN report its far from cut and dried and that he hasn't put pen to paper. Such information would not have come from McInnes or BCFC. It's DM's agent speak for "I've asked for far more than they are prepared to offer - they need to meet me half way before we agree ..." then he's linked it to the media. He's just doing his job. It's normal stuff in any negotiation. The good news that we should take from it is that perhaps an offer has been made.

I was just going to say that I thought this was on the Saints website earlier and that they are just reporting it now so it means nothing.........

BCAGFC Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 There is obviously a lot to sort out, relocation costs, finding a house (buying or rent), finding a school for the kids (very important to DM by all accounts), cost of living compared with where he is now. All the above may of needed negotiating.........plus the details of any contract/transfer budget etc, etc. Relax..................... BCAGFC
Mrs Shortie Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 We will welcome him with open arms in Backwell. Nice place to live, good schools, and a cheap pint at the village club!

Port Said Red Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 it took us 2 weeks to decide our side, I am sure we can wait a couple of days for a decision from his side,
Guest Jamie_Beatson Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I can't see any way he won't be appointed now - St Johnstone very rarely make any public statements on this kind of thing unless things are very well advanced. BTW, on a separate note, I run the Saints forum - www.weareperth.co.uk Just to say to anyone who has registered over the last few days, apologies for the length of time it may have taken to approve your membership. I have to do it manually because of all the spambots we get signing up, and I've chosen a pretty opportune time to go away to Florida for a couple of weeks - meaning its taking me longer than usual to get through the moderation process! Good debate on here and our site though, refreshing to see!
Guest Ranger robin Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 There are no troubles and del will be announced as the new manager on wednesday.

Guest Jamie_Beatson Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I'd put you in charge since you're never off Ghostie, but I'd worry that you might make slf a mod and every thread would say nothing but "choo choo the noo noo"
The Casual Connoisseur Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I think it's fair to say that IF Del does take over and IF he does well, I can see St Johnstone being a lot of City fans Scottish team, SJ fans have conducted themselves impeccably on our forum and it's been refreshing to debate such an important topic in such an adult manor, a near impossible task 99% of the time on here!

As a Rangers fan I want to get my opinion in on that, St Johnstone fans are a great bunch and are a superb club, if only othr clubs in scotland were run like them.

BCAGFC Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Out of curiosity, what makes you think that? Don't panic RR.........our Petey would love Lee Johnson or Cole Skuse to be our next manager. And he is also one of our best BCAGFC

Red_Mat Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 This has got the be the least "hostile" invasion of another clubs fans on this forum ever? and we've potentially poached your manager from you? When does the abuse start? Yeah, when we poached GJ from Yeovil we got loads of abuse and ill wishes from (a lot of) their fans. And I know when we were scared of losing GJ, there's no way our fans would have behaved as the SJ fans have. I guess it's because they've been mostly resigned to it happening...

To be honest mate I think itnis because they know he was always destined for much bigger things in scotland or not. No disrepect to saints fans but he is a top bloke and a top manager, i honestly dont think your support understands the bargain you are getting.
DaveF Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 We will welcome him with open arms in Backwell. Nice place to live, good schools, and a cheap pint at the village club! I'm from backwell, it's a lovely place to live.
maxjak Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I think your going to be very very dissapointed Don't you just hate it when people put on a completely unsubstantiated flippant statement....................and then don't have the cojones to follow it up? I Know this for a fact.....don't you know?

I Know this for a fact.....don't you know? Sorry fella not logged back in until now. All I heard is that mcinness has turned down job same as Jones as city have said he wasn't allowed to bring in any backroom staff. Don't know how true just what I was told from a sports reporter for a national.
Red Robin Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Seems all very cushy at ashton gate. Jones will go to Pompey and rebuild them like Cardiff. This is why BCFC has been in backwater football for most of it's history. No ambition,no will to hit it with the big boys.

No personal disrespect to you Pete, but I've heard that so many times from so many people it automatically sounds like BS- it wasn't Kachina by any chance was it?!

This is why BCFC has been in backwater football for most of it's history. No ambition,no will to hit it with the big boys. Don't go then. You clearly are not a Bristol City supporter in any true sense. All you've done is whinge about a man that you know nothing about. Which is funny, as those who are in the know only have good things to say about him...

Thats half of the problem down the gate, It's to familiar down there!
