Bar BS3 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Well, seeing as it looks as though we are going to have to wait until Weds/Thursday for any further news on the manager situation, Lets turn our attentions to tonights game...... Head say's 3-1 Palace Heart say's 1-2 City (Maynard & Pitman) A win tonight could make the league table look a lot less daunting. Infact, could even see us move out of the relegation zone. C.O.Y.R!
WRERE Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 2-0 Palace Would loved to be proved wrong, anyone know if the new manager would be going to watch? or is that just a stupid though
'Orns Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'm gonna go for a 2-0 defeat too, this is our nadir - it's all sunshine and roses from here on in for us
Bar BS3 Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 2-0 Palace Would loved to be proved wrong, anyone know if the new manager would be going to watch? or is that just a stupid though Apparently neither Robins or McInnes will be at tonights game, whoever has the job.
Nogbad the Bad Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'm gonna go for a 2-0 defeat too, this is our nadir - it's all sunshine and roses from here on in for us If it's going to be our nadir tonight then it's got to be worse than the Blackpool game, so it would have be a 6-0 defeat at least. We're going to net a couple tonight I reckon, so 4-2 to Palace. Then McInnes takes over and a rampaging City pulverise Brum 4-0.
Redtucks Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 0-0 0-0. Though that may be overly optimistic 10/1 with Sportingbet for 0-0, according to Evil Post!
... Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 10/1 with Sportingbet for 0-0, according to Evil Post! Is this thread for real, or just for masochists??? If we restrict Palace to anything better than a three-goal advantage, I think we will do well. I don't mean to be negative, but we are TOTAL shyte.

steve39 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 4-1 to city the players will want to impress new boss whether he is there or not.

Guest paulie Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 very educated guess, im avin a fiver on it just for a laugh
Redtucks Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I don't mean to be negative, but we are TOTAL shyte. What's that got to do with it? Did you expect us to beat Leicester? .......or Swansea away last season? As Greavsie used to say "football's a funny old game!"
... Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 ah the optimist.....and if you dare to call yourself a "realist" you are an utter ****, go support the gas, we don't want your support. Why, thank you, eloquent, kind sir. Allow me the indulgence to correct my post. Bristol City will emerge victorious tonight, 5-0, with a David James (headed) hat-trick. Martin O'Neil will be appointed manager in the morning, refresh the youth of both Bob Taylor, and Alan Walsh, and we will be pipped to the Championship title next May by a resurgent Doncaster. I hope you like my new post, and please accept my apology. Now: suck my fat one.
City Loyal Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Probably 2-1 Palace having been 1-1 for the majority of the game then Palace stealing one at the end due to poor defence concentration.

As Greavsie used to say "football's a funny old game!" Well, it used to be didn't it. At the moment we are defensively atrocious and it would be a big surprise if any of us are laughing at 10 o'clock. Surprising and unexpected results do happen of course but predictions are based on likelihood, and tonight City are likely to be well beaten.
Guest Saintee Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Out of interest, how many Bristol City fans will be at a match like tonight's?

howey_ducky Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Out of interest, how many Bristol City fans will be at a match like tonight's? Be nice to see about 350, given how poor we currently are saintee.

CodeRed Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Out of interest, how many Bristol City fans will be at a match like tonight's? We've sold 250 tickets, it's also pay on the night and there is usually quite a few exiles who live in the London area or work up there during the week who will turn up and pay - and a few from Bristol will decide at the last minute to go. Probably 400 , maybe 500 max. 8pm KO, Palace is not the easiest ground to get to, and - of course - we are crap at the moment. All these are limiting factors. A couple of good results, get the buzz back and we can take 3-4000 away on a good day. CR
... Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 That's better ....... isn't it just? What is ones fat one for, after all?
Andy082005 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 28-2 to City! Our defence will let in it's usual 2 sloppy goals. Marvin to score 8 headers because he is so damn good! Skuse hat-trick, David James 2, Stewart 5 of his ass, Pitman 5, Nyatanga will score a 30 yard volley, 3 for Albert and 1 for McInnes from the stand. ....Maynard to miss a penalty. Got a fiver on this happening with Stan James....they've suspended betting now
I BELIEVE Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Geez almost forgot we were playing tonight. 2-1 Palarse, but a spirited city performance
bcfcbs20 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I can't see anything other than a 3-1 defeat hope im wrong though.
Andy Horsman Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 2-2 City go 1-0 up, pegged back, 2-1 up and concede again with 10 minutes left .....giving the hardy away support the longest 10 minutes of their lives.................................................
TRL Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I haven't predicted a city win all season, tonight I will, I think the players will know who the new Guvnor is and will really looking to put a performance on for the DVD that the new manger will be watching on Thursday or Friday. Sneaky 2-1 win Pitman and Marv

CR thanks for the couple of replies. hard slog in a team of 24 teams in a big country for fans who like to go to every match. Saints take about 300 fans away from home, although more than double that for some closer matches.
Kibs Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 3-0 Palarse. An early goal just to kill any hope we may have had before kick off, another straight after the break and the third late in the game.
Kala Taro Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 3-2 City Albert, Brett x2 Wiggers got nothing to lose by going for it. Edit: After seeing that the Hitman isn't featured I'll change the scorers to: Albert, Marv and JCR. Still gonna win though
Guest bcfcas1 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 New manager to be watching from a far...players will know who has been appointed, so will play out of skins for place. 2-1 City COYR
Forza Revolution Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Love to think 0-4 city. Honestly- 2-0 palace
Guest The Ghost of Jim Morton Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 positivity .. Crappy Crystal Palace 1 (Lucky deflected goal)-2 Brilliant Bristol city
Cornacix the Druid Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'd like to think it'll be 2-1 to City. Palace will come out all guns blazing, and although city will put up strong resistance Palace will score first (about 15 mins). City will then start to keep possesion and come back into the game, frustrating Palace. I think Uncle Albert will then do one of his mazey runs across thier box and score in the 44th minute. Palace put a shakey/sleepy City under the cosh in the second half but by miraculous luck wont score. That'll continue throughout the 2nd half but City will nick it with a goal on the break from Kilkenny. That's what my crystal ball says anyhow.
Mr Gow Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 we aint been that bad away from home this season, i will go for palace 2 city 1
Kala Taro Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 positivity .. Crappy Crystal Palace 1 (Lucky deflected goal)-2 Brilliant Bristol city The spirits have spoken! How can we lose with the influence of th'other side? Hang on, shouldn't you be supporting Raith Rovers?
