rockin-robin Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I hope whichever manager comes in, he is good at getting teams out of League 1. This team WILL go down!
Roe Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Funny cuz exactly a year ago people were saying the same thing. Give the new manager a chance ffs
Murraysrightplum Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 We always believe (we will be relegated)
BCFC Jordan Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Agreed. Pointless sacking him if we go down, it's an impossible task keeping us up in the first place.
rockin-robin Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Funny cuz exactly a year ago people were saying the same thing. Give the new manager a chance ffs We could have the best manager in the world but it wouldn't make any difference. This team is useless!
Snufflelufagus Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 It is looking a bit grim. Were effectively 5 points from getting out of the drop zone. I don't even think we have played anyone that good yet either.
Belfastcityfan Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Im feeling its going to be very hard to turn this around also! Birmingham up next, oh dear! Do Brum have a european game this week? Tbis will be our only chance of getting a result.
steviestevieneville Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Funny cuz exactly a year ago people were saying the same thing. Give the new manager a chance ffs We're worse this season than last
BristolBEAT Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Preston had a couple more losses. Drifted a bit and couldn't get out.
Snufflelufagus Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Last year what was the biggest points gap we had to make up?
bucksred Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 this team is worse than last seasons. Maynard was scoring last season................. no donkies gone, a couple of more brought in............................
milo1111 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Not looking good to me. Morale must be shot and whoever comes is right up against it thanks to our dithering board and their comical beleif in millen.
Robin101 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Three straight wins and we're out of the relegations places! It's poss- okay, we're relegated.
Roe Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 this team is worse than last seasons. Maynard was scoring last season................. no donkies gone, a couple of more brought in............................ Maynard got a grand total of 6 goals last season with the first coming in February. Do you not remember him being out for most of the season? Talk about short memories and over the top panicking..
pdgifford64 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I hope whichever manager comes in, he is good at getting teams out of League 1. This team WILL go down! Absolute tosh..........bring back the ducking stool and burning at the stake !! Far too much of this season left to be making statements like that. Fact is we`re not far off turning things around. We find ourselves stuck in one of those ruts, low on confidence, managerless, probably not getting the bit of luck you need etc etc. We all know the weaknesses, after all its been well documented here, but that squad has the ability to finish mid-table, question is can the club pick a manager with the ability to make it happen. I`m praying to the football gods they get it right because they`ve taken enough time making the decision, rightly or wrongly (Forest had a very good result tonight). God forbid we don`t get our no1 choice tho`, cos if Mr Robins gets the nod i might need that ducking chair myself. PDG
East Yorkshire CideRed Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I hope whichever manager comes in, he is good at getting teams out of League 1. This team WILL go down! Unfortunately this is feeling very much like when we went down in 1994/95. It always felt like we just used to lose by the odd goal and couldn't get a goal back for love nor money. Not feeling very positive right now.
Southport Red Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I hope whichever manager comes in, he is good at getting teams out of League 1. This team WILL go down! Can I just say that I am utterly sick of these stupid 'We are bound to be relegated, nothing can stop it" type posts before Christmas. It was the same last year. I understand that you are frustrated and angry, we all are, but tell me PRECISELY what good does it do to surrender before we have even started November? Things do not look good, the team is woefully short on confidence and when you are in this situation, the rub of the green is always against. But can we PLEASE stop these surrender posts, they serve no good purpose whatsoever and are just daft. FWIW, I for one believe that we WILL NOT be relegated and I will NOT say otherwise until it is a mathematical certainty - this is a thing called 'Support' it used to be popular (back in the days when you COULDN'tT get a prawn sandwich at a football match.
Rocky Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 We'll be fine! Once this team is organised and had a kick up the arse
glynriley Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Lets give the new manager a chance. If we can get out of the bottom 3 by the turn of the year we are in with a shout.
Kibs Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I can't see us doing it and the fact it's unfortunately taken so long to appoint somebody hasn't a helped. Some fresh impetus before peterborough could have meant 3 points and going into the palace game with positivity and a new gaffer. As it is we've got nothing, still no manager and even deeper in the shite.
Guest cityhead Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 this team is worse than last seasons. Maynard was scoring last season................. no donkies gone, a couple of more brought in............................ No he wasn't - out injured until after new year! Pitman was though!

And if the manager turns out to be Robins and we have been ******* around for 2 weeks with smoke screens when we could have had him in ages ago, Well, the board need shooting. So fingers crossed it is McInnes. Otherwise what a watse of our time, St Johnstone's time and 6 dropped points, where a new manager in Robins may have got those Points with the impetus that new managers often get.

No leadership on or off the pitch. WTF is this board playing at?

As it is we've got nothing, still no manager and even deeper in the shite. It`s difficult to get the balance right. I understand the need to be thorough and try to get the best man available for the job. Forest got it right, yes they had the benefit of being a tad more attractive than us, but SC has had a chance to work with the squad and they`ve had a good result tonight. This is taking too long. If indeed a decision has been made then make a statement and get it out now. Contracts, compensation or whatever doesn`t concern me and surely thats something that can be ironed out over the next few days. We have 4 and half days to go to the next match and theres talk of it being Thurs before anything official is announced. If this is the case then thats 2 more days thrown away. This squad needs leadership now, whoever the man is, he needs to be on the trg ground tomorrow kicking ass and knocking heads. IMHO. PDG
Southport Red Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 We look like we'll probably be relegated. Our defense is a shambles and morale and belief is low. But given all that we stand to lose if we go down (the new stadium will probably never happen, and we could find ourselves right in the shit financially) then theres no chance im throwing in the towel in the middle of October. Ill continue to support the club and help us fight to keep the dream of our future alive. Well said Luke. We MIGHT end up getting relegated, but if we all decide to surrender before November then we can make it a certainty! We fight, we believe because we are supporters. Thick and thin (and, yes, thinner) But we DO NOT SURRENDER, I repeat, WE DO NOT SURRENDER. If you want to give up in October then please support someone else. We didn't quit in 1982 and I'm not gonna bl00dy well going to quit now!

Totally agree city till i die and yeah its not good that its taking so long to get someone in but lets have faith theres still three quarters of the season left thats 102 points, wow i cant believe people saying relegation get a grip will you
Guest sambessey Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 FFS WAY too early to be talking about relegation! over 100 points still up for grabs.
rockin-robin Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Why is too early to talk about relegation? We are bottom of the league We Can't win at home We Cannot defend We Cannot score We lose when apparently playing well We haven't got a manager We haven't got any money (and if we did, we could only bring in loans) Shall I go on?
Kibs Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Always look on the bright cider life Kibs. AND WELL SAID FRED. It's hard sometimes :-) maybe I should add "aim low and you won't be disappointed".

TRL Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 What i would be worried about most of all is the goal difference, now that could end up sending us down, -14 is bad enough at the end of the season, but only a quarter of the way in!
