Port Said Red Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Zico? hmmmm .... some of Hartleys facts about us (or the reporting of them more likely) are a little off but the gist of the interview is great
Red-Robbo Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Paul Hartley has just gone even further up in my estimation.
Red-Robbo Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Nice article. Well done Paul. Sorry though if I'm being a bit thick, where did the Zico thing come from? I'm assuming that Hartley's accurate passing ability led to him being flatteringly nicknamed that up there.
Red_Mat Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Nice article. Well done Paul. Sorry though if I'm being a bit thick, where did the Zico thing come from? If you're going to give him a nickname based on any of the Brazillian squad from the '82 world cup, surely it's going to be Socrates given the beard-resemblance?!
!james Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 lets hope he doesnt get homesick and leave after a year too eh Paul?
Spike Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I'm a little worried that I'm buying into this optimism, it's hard not to but I can't help but get that reminder in the back of my head how we've heard and seen all this hype before and it usually ends up biting us in our backside so I'm still going to take this with a pinch of salt.
BCFC Jordan Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Hartley going back to Scotland was more because of his family being homesick by the sounds of it. I remember somebody had a photo with him at the train station as he headed back to Scotland from one of our away games, so it was fair enough he decided to go back to Scotland. He was brilliant for us in the short time he was here and I hope he does well as manager at Alloa.
bcfcmike Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Wouldn't it just be great to have a 26 year old Paul Hartley in our midfield right now......Yes please
Mr Mosquito Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 http://www.thescotti...ke-them-up.html Woooow... Thats a great read over my porridge this morning... No pressure then Del Boy... Great to hear some real positive things about BCFC.... Paul Hartley was the greatest calibre central midfielder I've seen in a BCFC shirt since the time of Gerry Gow and Co. If Derek McInnes and Tony Docherty can find a younger version of Paul Hartley then our central midfield will be sorted for years to come.

And when he describes City as a "sleeping giant", well, I guess at least he's half right ...
