Just wanted to say even though our club is in a right state, there is one player who wears our red shirt that really does give everything week in week out. He's a fantastic player and look dangerous every time he gets the ball. What a fantastic player, he is the one bright spot in this dismal season!

Ran his heart out today and got a few crosses in just a shame nobody on the end of it. also the run he done in second half and laid it to Maynard how done nothing .. Albert should of kept it and had a go. How anyone can slate Albert I don't no? Did you go today?

This a joke right? Runs and runs and looks good but ultimately has no end product

I tell you what if some of our players showed his work rate and "runs and run" as much as he does we wouldn't be in the mess! Tell me who is a better player in this squad?

Don't forget, there are another 10 players on the pitch! how can he score and assist all on his own?

One man team, city at present .

Maynard drop the little bugger, for pitman.

How the hell stead was taken of and Maynard left on is mind boggling.

Especially playing hoffball.

I don't rate Adomah as a footballer, but by God, he is one he'll of an athlete. He didn't stop today and you can't ask for more than that.

He just needs to know his limitations and play to his strengths,.....run run run at this defenders.

Can't fault his effort but the end product is ALWAYS Wasteful (i mean that). He could've carried on running when 3 against 1 at one point but played it to Kilkenny who'd dragged wide when he was heading through on goal.Poor thinking in honesty.Never looks up with the ball at his feet,if he did he'd be twice the player he is.He's got a head with brains but no common sense.Young minded wants to take everyone on,in the future he'll hopefully learn!!ALWAYS BELIEVE. :englandsmile4wf:

however there was another run where he laid it off to Kilkenny where Maynard was wide open and begging for it

Albert is easily our best player at the moment and is one of the only reasons to turn up these days. I just wish he would be a bit more selfish and go for goal himself as he beats 3 players and then lays it off. Either his final pass isn't good enough as he's going so fast, or is so exhausted, or the player he passes to messes it up. He runs through and past some very strong and experienced players and gives us all some hope. He is like JCR at his best, but Albert does it most weeks, JCR does it now and then.

He was superb today - looked knackered at the end because he had to do so much work up that wing and cutting inside. Shame some don't recognise how much better than some of the rest he has been this season.

Your right he was shattered towards the end. I felt a bit sorry for him, as he carried our only real threat going forward.

I must be misreading this!!! Great athlete??? He's got no stamina and tracks back know where near enough! Leaves the full backs so exposed! He had the most promising moments of the game today but was poor as on 5 or 6 occasions he made hugely incorrect decisions! So frustrating would have been a good one had he chose the right option on at least 2 occasions!

What I think your missing is AA is the only outlet we have to inflict any damage to the opposition.

Without him on the pitch,we are powder puff.

No matter how bad a game is Albert will always do something that gets you excited. At times in the second half today it was almost embarassing how good he was compared to the rest.

Put simply, one of the few players at the club at the moment that I feel any sort of an affinity to.

That's the point I was going to make. Whether he is good or bad at least he is exciting. If he could do it all already he wouldn't be playing for us. With a bit of decent coaching I'm sure we will see more end product.

Let's hope so, if he can get some end product and some goals to his game he's potentially worth more than maynard.

Wrong wrong wrong.

Worked his socks off at both ends of the pitch with skill and pace that you will be lucky to see ever again once he's gone.

The easiest MoM decision you will ever see.

Im not debating that he works hard, I'm saying for all the good work he does his final ball or decision seriously let's him down.

How many goals and assists has he had since he's been here bearing in mind all the great positions he gets in to?

Posted the following many times earlier in the year

Albert is easily our best player, way better than Maynard and if we don't perform he will be off to the Premier League

We definitely should have offloaded Maynard for leicester's alleged £6.5 million. Not worth it in a million years

Is it any wonder?! he's given the ball often with 2 players in front of him, gets no support or any players making a decoy run - when he finally gets in a good position he's trying to find statues in the box - no movement whatsoever...

We give him the ball so many times he was knackered come the end.

We need other threats, because its easy to defend against one superb player who gets no support.

Were you at the game and if so were you facing the pitch? :noexp:

Albert must've run 5 times the distance any other City player did today and was - in tracking back and saving our bacon on more than one occasion - also our most effective defender. He was still running at the end of the game.

If he could score goals, he'd be worth £10m.

Albert adomah joins greg googridge , junior bent and others as official headless chicken bcfc legend

AA IS DIFFERENT CLASS MY FRIEND.

Good ridge and bent ain't a fraction of AA.

Impossible to choose for me between him and skuse as our best and most committed players so far this season, but if more had put in performances like those two we would better off no doubt,

Bert is great however still does need improve his around game

The highlight of the game for when I think we were defending a corner and Albert just kept the ball in on the city touch line and then ran the whole pitch and almost created a chance I think don't think he shot? made today's game worth watching not that I thought we'd get anything out of this realistically either though.

He's by now means the finished product as he's still so young. Give him a couple of years and he will be the real deal. Can't fault his effort or commitment.

You are kidding aren't you?! Albert is so much better than either of those players it is frightening! And that is coming from someone who liked Bent and Goodridge!

Actually, he's very nearly 24. In football winger terms that is middle-aged.

So many times his last ball was awful. Strangely enough he makes the right decision when he hasn't got time to think.

OK with the ball at his feet and running at defenders, (although end product poor)

But when he loses possesion, he breaks into a lazy walk!

Surely if you lose the ball, it is your responsibility to get the first tackle in to try and retrieve it? Not just put your hands on your hips, drop your head and walk aimlessly back into position.

Can you blame him? is he not entitled to a breather, before he is given the ball again and expected to, yet again, take on 2 or 3 players single handedly?

Plus a couple of times he did chase back

He is one player who is working is bollocks off.

Adomah certainly stood out yesterday but unfortunately his runs rarely achieved much... a few times I'd rather he tried to shoot than cross/ throughball.

Personally thought Elliot had a really good game.

I think that Adomah is our best player but he needs to have the load shared and by playing bolaise on the left I feel that can happen and with two attacking players like that we should really be capitalising on that but I hope Del will try this out as we have nothing to lose at the momment and should just go for it.

Entitled to breather, of course he is. But he can do that once he's attempted to win the ball back.

Exactly.... a couple of times.

I'm sure they're all working their tabs off, especially with the new manager watching their every move.

And, I agree that he is the one outlet that we have, mainly because Cambell Ryce is completely ineffective. No, I mean absolutely sh*t. Although this may in all fairness be a different topic/thread.....

Give the guy a break FFS! I don't see killa, jcr, maynard tracking back! He and brett our are ONLY threat to score, if he loses the ball then so be it, at least he shows the intent to make things happen unlike the other players on the pitch.
