Turkey
Also, you may want to know about the flag. Our forums, North Stand Chat, lost one of its posters in the terrorist attacks on the WTC. So contributers on the forum all paid for the flag in his memory. It's the Robert Eaton Memorial Flag. We also have a charity football match at Withdean every year. Brighton fans vs Crystal Palace fans to raise money for the REMF. We set up a charity to help out disadvantaged kids in New York to play football. bucksred
I take it the authorities do know about the origins of the flag then...if they do, its a ######* shame...in these days it pays to remember that there are some evil b****** out there. Guest Simster
After much badgering, the REMF flag has now been given the all clear to make an appearance. It cost £2,000, we paid for it out of our own pockets and it is MASSIVE. It will only be allowed in the lower tier but it'll look quality in that stadium. He was in the South tower, above where the second plane hit, and managed to get out moments before the towers collapsed!!. Fair play to the F.A. for letting the flag be displayed, as it's cause is a good memory!!.
