Jody Morris Is Already My Hero

Came on as a sub after 70 minutes.

2 minutes later he scythed through the nearest Sag.

Friendly my Ar$e.

Very impressed with Anderson. Bright, buzzy, good on the ball and lots of excellent movement. Should start ahead of Woolfy who still looks lightweight.

Ryan Taylor should also get in ahead of Pitman. Brett missed a couple of decent chances, his head went down and he looked like a player waiting to be replaced by Baldock or Hunt.

Cunningham looks a good buy.

All in all, a good run out and a sweet victory against an average lower league team.

The round of applause was like something ive not heard at football before. Usually its a big cheer with frantic clapping but this was different. It was like a round of applause you give someone whos just won a tennis match.

Very poetic and the sag knew his place. Didnt the ref give a drop ball for it though? Very strange. And the linesman flagged for offside when it was a throw in.

Agree completely with all you say. Morris dictated when he cam on. I think Morris will be superb this season. The only concern I had was Pitman and Stead. They seemed over anxious and frustrated at times. Like they were trying to hard keen to point out where passes should have gone constantly looking at the bench. Its good and right they should trying so hard, but I felt they were over anxious.

Morris impressed me,puts his foot in!,nice range of passing, and he's got that been there done it look.

Was surprised with Pitman yesterday, he seemed to want to kick the leather off the ball with any effort on goal he had.

The shot he hit the bar with was really just a guide it into the net job, normally that's what he would have done.

I have strong hopes that Morris will surprise a lot of fans who have been non-plussed at his arrival & be the calm, older head in midfield that dictates games a la Hartley or Tinnion in the past.

He'll get 60-70 mins against Southampton I'm guessing, I am going and looking forward to his performance to see if he can boss a midfield against a "Premier-league side" - as long as he can tackle Lambert like that I'll be happy.

The guy looked quality yesterday, excellent passer of the ball. I think with a relatively young team it will be beneficial to have a more experienced player in the midfield, as mentioned above similar to what Hartley gave us a couple of years ago

Let's not get too carried away fella with the 'I told you so' shout. We played the equivalent of Bristol Manor Farm yesterday afternoon. Look forward to seeing him perform against Southampton, similar with Mark Wilson if possible.

as i said hes on the way down , you could see it last season . hope he does well cause hes a good guy , certainly good enough for where you played most of your football last season . there is no doubting his football skills , its just that he is that little bit slower now than say 2 years ago

If Derek mcinnes thinks he's good enough then maybe just maybe he is. Judging by people's opinion Of him then he can't be any good on fm !

At Saints I think he was very much the guy who broke things up and they used Murray Davidson as the more advanced playmaker.

That's what we need.. Would love to think it would be Buzsaky..

But fear it could be Kilkenny..

It could well be all change as Kilkenny and even Skuse could attract offers..?

I think Kilkenny played his best stuff for us last season, when he was playing in a more forward role.

I'm not saying he's the answer to a creative midfielder as whoever we get, if anyone, must be able to play in a 4 or a 5 man midfield.

Killa, imho, still needs to prove he can cut it in a 4.

We have plenty who can run around a lot!, I'm more than happy for JM to control the centre of midfield by keeping the ball and picking out our runners.

Hartley wasn't bad at doing that for us, the likes of Ferguson at Blackpool are doing the same.

You can't beat experience in the Championship imo.

Welcome Jody.

Played some nice passes, looked confident and cool on the ball.

And any player, that tackles a gash like that gets my vote. I was on my feet applauding him, frickin marvellous.

A flashback to derbies of old.

The gas player flew in the air like one of those Olympic gymnasts! I personally don't think Morris is too old. Dean windass shoved that concept down our throats !
