Where is it too hit????

WE LOST A GAME!!!!!!!

CALM DOWN GUYS, we have had a fantastic pre-season and of course we are going to have a few blips along the way. Del knows what he is doing and wait to see how we get on on Saturday. Yes, 1 or 2 new faces are needed but in preseason we have shown we are more than capable of a performance.

KEEP CALM AND BELIEVE.

Fantastic Pre-Season???? Based on what?

A draw against Southampton and wins against some Scottish teams, a truely terrible rovers side and Bournemouth reserves?

Our first proper game was always going to be a sign of what to expect

We now know

I'm stuggling to keep the faith. We have the foundations of a very good side but a manager who doesn't have a clue.

Ed Moore you sad sad little gashead. This idiot was previously known as "Snail" and did the exact same thing before I.e pretending to be a city fan. There are plenty of other things to do on the Internet Ed that will bring you a lot more pleasure.......

Based on we nearly beat a Prem club, looked much fitter and better than any preseason before and also beat our rivals.

The real problem is for the last 2 seasons we have needed 1 or 2 new faces in very specific positions and these spots have not been filled, they havent been filled this summer (yet) either. If we dont fill these positions we know what kind of a season were going to have.

How many years have to go buy where we need 2 specific players for our manager/s not to address this issue?

You can only react to what you can see based on the opinions and facts you have at that time and unfortunately we havent signed all of the players we need (yet) so all I can see at the moment is a carbon copy of last season but I remain hopeful that it can be sorted sooner rather than later and certainly not next summer where I expect we will all be saying once again we need 1 or 2 new faces.

Exactly. I'm glad we had a good pre season but at the end of the day it means nowt.

So we drew with Southampton, Forest beat Villa in a pre season friendly and going by that logic we'll get turned over.

I'm not having this 'it's only a Mickey mouse cup' excuse, we got turned over by a team who's training ground has been invaded by Gypsies (and not the type from North Bristol)

It was pretty awful last night but we won't be able to get a real feel for how good / bad City are until after the first 5 -6 games. No matches are ever easy but the first few weeks of the season don't look too difficult compared to what comes later. If we're near the bottom of the table by mid September then is the time to press the panic button!

Didn't we lose every single one of our pre-season games the year we got to the play off final? Or was it the season before when we got promoted?

Pre-season results mean nothing.

What really concerns me is that the team was hardly any different from the last time I saw them play in November, but at least then they were playing with some sparkle and commitment. I would have hoped for some significant changes in personnel by now. They just seemed mentally turned off last night.

lets not forget our promotion season we lost 4 of the first 5 games then went on to finish second, not saying thats going to happen this time but panicing after 1 league cup game seems a little bit of an over reaction.

I would disagree, of course results affect the confidence of players.

If we lost to Rovers do you think the players would of cared they lost to a team a lot worse than them? Yeah they would.

Good preseason ensures fitness, confidence and team work are all improved ready for the season.
