Thought he was poor in the 2nd half at left back.
Frenchay Red
May be it looks worse from the Williams, but on tonight's showing I wouldn't rate any of them.
ChrisBCFC
Woolford was good first half then struggled in the 2nd
I BELIEVE
Would agree with all ratings. Woolford better in 1st half. Bolasie livened things up, and we were not clever enough to break down a well organised side. We should be beating sides like Gillingham

I personally thought he did alright in the first half cutting in and had 2 chances he may have felt he'd done better with but the half time switch around resulting in him at left back was a catastrophe!! He was terrible; nothing seemed to go right for him with regards to defending, going forward and in fact actually kicking the ball! I think the change around was a bit strange at half time; we were quite steady and were creating chances in the first half with the selection we had with Skuse and Albert seemingly working well together and Jody Morris working relatively well with Pearson in the middle. Pitman and Stead seemed to be working for the cause to no avail and the move around in positions seemed to make them more ineffective. With the change I don't understand why young Joe Bryan wasn't given a chance at left back as it is a position that he is used to?! It also seemed strange that it wasn't until the 70th minute until McInnes felt change was necessary when the game clearly wasn't going in our favour. Fontaine didn't look comfortable on the right side of centre back at all, especially with Nyatanga the other side of him who was unbelievably awful tonight. They cannot play together in my opinion and believe it was Fonts' worst performance for a very, very long time. Albert looked sharp but didnt want to take their left back on at all and was happy to cut inside whereas Bolasie took his man on but lacked any end product. It still seemed like a pre-season game and thankfully we're not sat at the bottom of the table; we're only out of a competition we were never going to win. Credit to Gillingham they wanted it more and deserved their win. Now on to Saturday where returning Cunningham will hopefully make a dramatic difference to the side and Paul Anderson will hopefully make an appearance alongside a new striker and centre which we all know we're crying out for. Monkeh
I thought wooly gave the ball away alot and over hit his passes in the first half but just how I saw it Was I the only one who thought it had a preseason feel to it?
fenric
Gerkin 4: Heaton must start Foster 4: Mark Wilson must be signed Woolford 2: P155 poor, surprised if he could find his own car in the car park after Nyatanga 3: Is he really a centre back? Fonts 5: Is he really a captain? Morris 6: Tried to communicate and link play but lost fitness after an hour Pearson 4: Worst game i have seen him play for us, so far Adomah 5: Tried to make things happen but ran into too many dead ends Skuse 5: Hard work Pitman 3: The jury is now in - lazy Stead 5: worked hard in first half but got worse as the team disintegrated around him Bolasie 5: unsure of him still Elliot 5: cos he scored A frankly abysmal performance that only goes to heighten the fear that without serious player arrivals we will be relegated very quickly. And McInness tactis are to be questioned too sadly. Bet we get a point on saturday tho!
