It is obvious we need to make some changes ahead of the Forest game on Saturday, this would be my starting eleven in a 4-5-1 formation that can become 4-3-3 when we are on top.

Heaton

Wilson M Carey Fontaine Cunningham

Elliott Morris Skuse

Adomah. Bolasie

Stead

Subs: Pitman, Gerken, Foster, Nyatanga, Pearson, Woolford, Wilson J

This is obviously based on no new signings other than Mark Wilson and Elliott, and Carey being fit enough to start.

I know there's lots of people (Del included) that would like to play two up front ideally. But I just don't think that plays to the strengths within our squad. In fact I'd say that we went off the rails after Christmas last year when Del started to tinker with the system that got us out of trouble.

For me we need to go with either a 4-2-3-1 or something very similar e.g. a 4-3-3 that becomes a 4-5-1 when defending.

Depending on whether Mark Wilson is signed or not, I would go with...

Heaton

Foster/ J Wilson Fontaine Cunningham

M Wilson

Skuse Elliott

Adomah Morrris Anderson

Stead

Subs: Gerken, Bolassie, Pitman, Nyatanga, Woolford, Pearson, Carey

I forgot about Anderson TBH. Is he injured? If not why was he not involved last night?

He was on the bench, I would guess it's just a case of new signings not walking into the side. Much easier to give him the opportunity now given last night's result, Bolasie isn't bad but he doesn't produce much really.

Clearly with the central defensive options available we have to play Elliott and Skuse infront of them to fill the gaping holes that are there, home and away. It`s a results business we need to grind out some points at the start of the season and see where it takes us.

For me, if we sign Wilson he must start as I don't rate foster at all.

The frustrating thing is Skuse looked brilliant last season when he played the role where he could get forward more but with Morris and Pearson more likely to do the attacking he'd be the defensive mid.

I'd also start Albert and Anderson because, he'll be out to show what Forest lost in the summer, I think Bolasie would be a good option to bring on.

Stead leading the line is a must!

Barring injury it's safe betting that Heaton and Cunningham will both start. Foster will switch to right back leaving the only question being who partners Fontaine. Now's as good a time as any to throw J Wilson in, tell him to prove we don't need a new centre back.

Mixed feelings on where from there, advocate of 4-5-1 but we looked toothless vs Soton in that setup. I wouldn't abandon Woolford, so Adomah and him supporting Stead with Morris, Elliott and Pearson in the middle.

Anderson is bound to score, so a definite appearance against tiring legs.

If fit the guy in your avatar must start, Carey is a battler and must start if fit.pack the middle and Stead up top; Not beyond us to scrape a win

Only didn't include him because thought he was out injured. I'm not too sure, but i think last season we won more of the games in which he started, I'm sure some statto out there could confirm or prove me wrong!

If Carey is fit then I think he has to start on Saturday. It might only be one game but that Gills game will play on their minds going into Sat and the defence needs some stability. Have the back 5 as Heaton; Foster, Carey, Fonts and Cunners and that's a good solid base to build on. Skuse needs to start in midfield, not right back. I'd be half tempted to play Elliot, as opposed to Pearson, along with Morris and Skuse. He'll be delighted to be back playing games again so should have a fire in his belly and he'll be confident because he scored last night. Front three could be any two wingers from Bert, Bolasie, Woolford and Anderson up top with Stead. Personally would like to say Bolasie on the right and AA on the left (we know he can't cross so let him cut inside and shoot on his strong foot), think it's more likely to be Albert on the right and Woolford on the left which I'm happy about too. I hope and am sure that we will see a better, more confident performance come the weekend.

Does anyone know how many will be taking up to Forest? I was dead certain on getting a ticket until I drove back and from London on Tuesday night to watch that pile of shite.

I still think I'll get a ticket for Saturday as that early season optimism still just about remains. But to know a decent number of zidereds will be in attendance may seal the deal

it was announced last night that we had sold 850 tickets so I'm guessing we'll take 1200 at least

Heaton GK

LB Cunningham LCB J Wilson RCB L Carey RB Foster

LW Anderson CM Morris CM Elliot RW Bolsie

AMC Kilkenny

CF Stead

on the bench I would have Gerkin, Fontaine, Woolford, Skuse, Holloway, Bryan, Pearson

(I think we've gone back to 7 subs I'm not sure some one correct me)

Quite an awkward number really, said to my mate this morning; 850, they've given us 1000? Say Friday comes. We've sold 950. How many extra will they give us POTD? 100? So 150 tickets? Feel some people may turn up disappointed.

That will do for me (Assuming nobody else signs) and as others have said, Anderson in for Bolasie.

Thanks for the info mate. Well you can add 3 more to that total as me and a couple of others are gonna head up. God, football is like self harm...Why do we do it to ourselves!?

True that. Focus on the beer and the banter and if we manage to scrape a cheeky point or 3 that will be a bonus!

Can see Kilkenny and Morris playing with the idea being to retain and make the best use of possession. 50/50 for me really on weather it's Wilson or Carey at cb but personally I'd choose wilson. We'd also still have good options on the bench with bolasie, Pearson, pitman all capable of providing fresh attacking threat from the bench, and marv to break things up if we find ourselves hanging onto a lead/draw in the second half.

1) a large sheet of MDF

2) red brick

3) red brick

4) a plank of wood

5)Big breeze block

6) lump of rock

7) a bag of sharp sand

8) a mixer

9) Big steel lintel

10). a bag of cement

11) some water

A nice bit of MDF will keep a clean sheet and help to shutter up shop.

Nothing gets beyond red bricks.

The breeze block will give firm solid display with which to lay a good foundation. Nothing will get by solid rock.

The plank of wood will give width.

The sharp sand will cover a lot of ground in midfield but equally you'll need the mixer to keep everything moving whilst the cement will bind midfield and attack all together.

On the wing, the water keeps things moving.

This just leaves the lone big steel lintel up front to hold up everything.

I hope we won't crumble

Sounds like a promising team but i still fear we cud be short of pace up top.
