ChrisBCFC
Very disappointed that we have seen so little of Paul Anderson so far in a BCFC shirt. This guy has proven championship quality and we fought off a host of other clubs to get his signature, yet so far Del has hardly used him, Is this due to a severe lack of fitness? The guy is potentially quality, but he needs to get game time. I really hope del doesn't seem him as just a bit part player, and that over the coming weeks he will be starting for us, because when st his best, he is a quality footballer. Nibor
We've played one league cup game. He was on the bench. Managers rarely throw new players straight into the XI. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
Guest lifelong
I am sure he is being saved to show NF why they shouldn`t have sold him (hopefully)

Guest Rovers-ran-away
i think the same anderson is wayyyyyy better then a shocking woolford, play him its common sence ! Let's all blame woolford. It was his fault we lost against hull at wembley. It's his fault we lose x amount of money per year ,my god he is no where near as bad as he's made out to be
Guest VillageRed
Woolford wasn't the worse player on the pitch last night, but he certainly is not going to gain any confidence listening to all the abuse he was getting from people stood around me, sometimes I wonder if people go to support the team or try and make themselves sound smart - they fail badly on both accounts. Esmond Million's Bung
Let's all blame woolford. It was his fault we lost against hull at wembley. It's his fault we lose x amount of money per year ,my god he is no where near as bad as he's made out to be Players like Woolford are meant to turn games, name those games, also he came with a reputation as a dead ball specialist, let's see a video compilation of his great delivery for BCFC. The problem is we hope that players we signed and who have not lived up to their reputation will improve and for us they rarely do, it's the same with Killkenny people can reference his Millwall away performance and then nothing. Patience appears to have run out with Nyatanga who has had far too many opportunities and I fear the same with Woolford who IMO will never be consistent enough and I fear that Pitman is going down the same route. To improve on last season we need the 11 players on the field at any one time to be consistent, be honest does Woolford, Nyatanga, Killkenny or Pitman fit that bill at present?. ChrisBCFC
How can you expect Woolford to be consistent when one minute he is playing left midfield, then, inexcusably, moved to left back?? He is not a defender so why the **** is he playing there??? Cannot for the life of me understand that decision. Woolford first half was one of our better players, I personally think he is average on the ball, but he has this nack of getting into really good goalscoring positions, and that could get us 5+ goals a season. Needs a run on the left of midfield, why he was shafted to left back is beyond me.

Foster didn't improve by moving him over to the right. Strange team to start with and it didn't improve as the game went on, maybe we are trying to convince Florist that we are crap? I think if they were watching the master plan may have worked.

What didn't make sense was moving Woolford to LB and Adomah to a floating role behind the strikers.
Admin phantom Posted August 15, 2012 Admin Share Posted August 15, 2012 Was wondering the same thing. If he is not fit according to Del, he would have got more "game time" in pre-season When he came on against Rovers, he had three oportunities to score and looked lively down the left. Can ONLY assume he is being held back for the Forest game - if he doesn't get to play against his former club then something is very amiss ! Kibs
It is a little bit strange, I'm hoping he was being rested for Forest on Saturday but he doesn't seem to have had much game time in pre-season compared with a few others.
Jesus
I wonder if anyone slating Woolford has seen him play in pre-season. He looked brilliant vs Bournemouth. Just everyone calm down.

red84
Woolford got in some decent positions last night but his touch and passing let him down. I hope Anderson gets a chance or even bolasie against forest but expect McInnes will stick with woolford as he's more defensive.
