Cider red
To be fair to both of them though, when you look at the table its hard to predict four teams that look like they will have a worse season than us with the league being so tight. No one will know until it kicks off though! I think its going to be another tough season but slightly better than the last.
Guest MikeB
Last nite was a defo wake up call! after all the pre season hype things started to look as if they were coming together, but on the other hand it is only one game and hopefully there won't be many of those. We need another striker asap or we will be in trouble and this prediction won't be far off. We finally have a decent enthusiastic manager who has a great passion for football, can and will take us to better places if he had the financial backing, so why won't the board back their team . I know the club is in huge debt, but it will get worst over the years if we continue these boring relegation scraps, no one wants to see their team get embarrassed week in week out, numbers will continue to drop Come On City

Loderingo
So does Chris Kamara! http://www.thesun.co...every-club.html You would think someone would spot he has predicted Charlton and Cardiff to both finish 11th especially as they are next to each other in the alphabetical listing! 'Orns
Not being bitter, but he is just about the most uninspiring, bland football pundit I've ever had to sit through. Who wears fake tan. A lot. Have to agree with the above, instant turn off if he's on the radio or tv Just about to read what he's said about us, think 24th is a little harsh, and I refuse to get too down beaten about losing in the LC. AS GJ always used to say, lets see where we are after 10 games Edit - just read what Holland said, hard to argue with any of it to be fair, although bottom still rankles a bit. At least he said something though, unlike Kammy, who has a picture taken with the caption 'in the know', then says **** all, other than placing a number against 'prediction'. Easy money, wish I had his job!
madmax
So does Chris Kamara! http://www.thesun.co...every-club.html To be fair to Kamara, he has tweeted today that he had input towards the article and they have made far too many changes and he has distanced himself from it and apologised to many fans. Wonder why people do predictions in national newspapers and then need to apologise. MM
Bryans Left Peg
You would think someone would spot he has predicted Charlton and Cardiff to both finish 11th especially as they are next to each other in the alphabetical listing! Like the above poster stated, (You should have noticed considering your both next to each other!) Kammy didn't write that. The sun asked him to write a piece on a team which he thinks would do well (It was Leeds) and they printed the rest making it look like Kammy said it all. Guest MrVinta8
Mid table finish! We have released alot of players! But only 1 was a regular in David James. All the players we have brought in are better than the ones that left! Dont read to much into last night! I think at least 6 changes will be made for sat long with reverting to 4-5-1 which suits us well away from home. I was at Birmingham and out football during that game was quality! **** the pundits anyway they just give there opinions to sell papers as supporters love to read about the coming season! They are rarely right!
And Its Smith
Quote from Holland " Ashton Gate isn't an easy place to visit traditionally but last year they only tasted success seven times in front of their home fans and that's not good enough as it puts too much pressure on the tests they face on the road" Clearly it is good enough as we stayed up! What a prat.

Guest lifelong
Think its a realistic assessment of where we`re at. A ball hasn`t been kicked in the league so its based purely on last season and transfers, all considered its about right and he`ll feel its even more realistic after last night. Up to us to prove these pundits wrong, put the clippings on the dressing room wall.

What a prat. That assumes that staying up is the total sum of our ambitions. If that's the case I'd be grateful if the club would come out and tell us, because that's something that possibly should be made clear,

Robbored
Matt Holland gets slagging because as an neutral pundit he predicts City will struggle (again) this coming season. Facts are he's not the only pundit who shares that opinion. What he says is actually pretty accurate if you can read it objectively. The pundits are all wrong of course..... Facts are he's not the only pundit who shares that opinion. What he says is actually pretty accurate if you can read it objectively. The pundits are all wrong of course..... It's a fair assessment but there's a lot of IFs in there nonetheless. If we don't get a defender and striker If we get injuries If our home form is poor If there's a problem with team spirit We could definitely struggle. But that doesn't mean all that will definitely happen. I'm pretty sure the defender and striker will arrive by 31st August.

Guest leepeacock's50phead
Sound like a group old women, he is perfectly entitled to his opinion and more importantly gets paid for it, unlike many, if any of you lot. Bigged up Heaton, but questioned the size of the squad and is right to point out that If we continue to struggle at home, we'll be in trouble. SJC
Not sure why Holland is getting so much abuse, he's perfectly entitled to his opinion which, from what I can see, is far from ridiculous. I dont think we'll finish 24th, or get relegated for that matter, but I struggle to see how what he has said isnt fair.
pongo88
It may not make pleasant reading, but IMO it’s a fair summary. Of course, IF we get a good centre half and IF we get a good new forward and IF the new signings prove their worth and IF we avoid too many injuries and IF we get a bit of luck we could be pushing for the playoffs! Unfortunately that’s a lot of “IFs”
