Robbored
Versatile wingers. Albert, Pearson and Anderson can play either up front or in midfield. Foster isn't actually a winger despite his pace. He's a full back. Woolford can and has played at left back and up front. Bolasie is probably the only out and out winger with just one string to his bow. Thats one out six........... Puckle_red
Pearson and Woolford have never played upfront and Foster has played on the wing for us...Adomah and Anderson in a 451 seems most logical to me.

Foster is a Winger, he converted to full back! Seem we are a team full of versitility, but a master of nothing

Woolford should only be a left back in the utter most emergencies like during a match when we have nobody else to cover. His performance there on Tuesday showed me he's marginally better further up the field.
bearded_red
Woolford is a left back in the same way that I'm a windsurfer. I've done it a couple of times and I'm terrible at it.

I didn't say he was a natural left back but he has played there. In the same way that he and Pearson have played as a third striker in a 4-3-3. Point being - all bar Bolasie can play in other positions other than on the wing.

You have to do a bit more then get plonked there by the manager to fall into the category of 'can play there'. If Jon Stead randomly gets played at centre half it doesn't mean we can then say 'he's a forward, but he can play at the back'. In the same way that Woolford 'can play at left back', Pitman can play on the left wing.

Fontaine has played in goal - does that make him a goalie as well ?? Because people play in different positions, doesn't mean they're any good at it !! Play in your favoured position or don't play at all, pick someone who is specialist to that position. Cue all the replies now about if a left back goes off and none on the bench to replace - slightly different scenario , hence the point re Fontaine ! JammyOne
Albert Adomah - Attacking winger / forward Woolford - Attacking midfielder / left midfielder Anderson - Right / left midfielder Pearson - Left / central midfielder Foster - Right midfielder / LB / RB Bolasie - Left / right attacking winger. They're all very different players, perhaps with the exception of Adomah and Bolasie being very similar but even then, Bolasie is more of a midfielder than a forward. Keep them all! You could actually utilize all of those players all at once, so who cares if they're primary positions are on the wing? --------------------- Foster Pearson Anderson - Woolford - Bolasie Adomah
