Jon atyeo is my dad
Going by mcinnes interview on player and as it seems the current theme on the forum is jumping to any conclusion! Im under the impression that mcinnes held talks with cox but no deal could be struck. Mcinnes said that a lot of championship clubs would definitely want him at there club. He also rather than left it at that, continued to say That cox's must have felt that he's found a deal that is suited to him and forest have offered that. Just my observation & opinion of the interview on player!
ChrisBCFC
Doubt it due to the price tag.

ChrisBCFC
But we were in for baldock and willing to waiver the Maynard payments?? Still nowhere near the £2.5 million they paid for Cox.

Guest Ricardo 'Livi' Red
I reckon that there are a number of players that have passed through like this...
Bobby kellard hero
Simon Cox was recommended to us just after we signed Adebola and he was about to leave Reading. Pete Johnson said he wasn't big enough or good enough and he went to Swindon instead.

Just my observation & opinion of the interview on player! I got that impression. He must have been on the target list at least. I also read between the lines that Forest had been able to spend quite big while others, like Del himself, do not have that luxury. And that's why we will not be making any signings in the Cox bracket . . . or that we will be struggling to match that sort of expenditure.
