My Transfer Request

Southport Red

Recommended Posts

OK, I didn't really think about this until yesterday, but the whole Yannick thing has gotten me thinking. I have been with City for about 47. Years now and I don't think, I'm getting the attention I deserve. Also, I need to join a team that is closer to the North West, so I am putting in a transfer request.

It has come to my attention that there are quite a lot of teams in England that are actually better than Bristol City and I had only joined up the dots on this whole transfer request thingy, I think I might have bailed out in 1983 or so. Very liberating to know you can just ask to leave, I was thinking it was a life sentence with no hope of parole.

So consider this my transfer request - wow, that was liberating!

On the official site now. Club denies that they have received a written transfer request from Southport Red.

The retraction from the club will be on tuesday, including the "we won't let him (Southport Red) go unless a club matches our valuation" caviat.

I suggest you are not as good as you think you are, have received awful advice and we should send you out on loan to a lower league club like Fleetwood. That should teach you a lesson from which I hope you learn the folly of your ways!

Fleetwood is near Southport isn't it? Aaaahhhh balls.

Story in tomorrow's EP saying that Southport's family were abused in the stands at Forest and his wife had bottles of Coca Cola thrown at her. She wasn't unhappy about this as she's run out of mixers for the year's supply of Bacardi she keeps at home.

He is better than this though, He should AT LEAST be a regular starting supporter of a top 5 Championship team, maybe even bottom third Premier League on my good days. He deserves better than this. Just 'cos you muppets have no ambition, you shouldn't be allowed to hold my Sowie back.innit?

Is your brother going to threaten us all on Twitter? We would all be very, very scared if he called us names from behind a keyboard and that would obviously mean we would all let you stitch the club up because he is sooooo tough!

Rather disappointed that no one has come on here yet and said that I have the potential to be a very good supporter and that all this fiasco is the fault of the ticket office for repeatedly seating me out of position. I have been sat wide on the left when I shoul have been sitting deep in the middle

Southport, although you turned up in chat yesterday and seemed your usual self, there were obviously things happening in the background. I hereby fine you 2 weeks wages for disrespecting your forum members. I hope you find a chat room closer to home but feel you will regret burning your bridges so publicly.

Didn't rate you as a fan anyway. Ok you seemed alright turning up after half time, thinking you were the dogs with your bright coloured shoes, but if you think you can give better support to somebody else carry on.

Probably had your head turned I know!

All I will say is, the grass ain't always greener.

Now be off with yourself and shut the door behind you.

I'll have you know, I could walk straight into another team's grandstand (as long as I had the money)

Bristol City were thrown into a state of tumultuous turmoil tornado twisting turmoil today after long standing, but often sitting, supporter, Southport Red, stunned the club into silence by handing in a poorly written transfer request.

The official club statement reads;-

It is with deep regret that we announce the transfer listing of one of our oldest supporters, Southport Red.

Following a written request, quickly supplemented by a 12,000 strong petition from fans from all parts of the stadium supporting his removal from Ashton Gate, we have no option but to circulate his name to other interested clubs.

The club prints, verbatim, his request below –

“Sorry Del, but I jus can knot see me movin bak down to Brstiol very soon and the commut is killin me piles.

Try to get mi a club closr to mi home pleaze.

Ta

Southport Red”

Bristol manager, Derek McInnes, was said to be sad to see the back of the moaning curmudgeonly old bugger.

“Och, we had ous differences. He would sit behind us in the Williams and shout gibberish for nigh on 80 minutes, before rushing out the ground to catch the early bus. But he is a well meaning soul and we wish him well supporting Tranmere”.

The club are expected to retain the services of Southport Red until their valuation is met.

McInnes “ Aye, we are not a club that needs to sell its best fans, or in this case, the worst fans, so to that ends we’ll be keeping him until our valuation of 2 haggis’ and 6 cans of Irun Bru is met”.

The club will not be making further comment.

YOu will have to do better than that.

It's obviously a fake as it contains sentences, punctuation , use of proper English grammar, and I can understand it!

Southport Red is an impact fan at best. Only when we are losing with 20 mins to go is he bought on to liven the place up and make things happen, even then he has 1 good game in every 5! Not good enough to start despite his potential, no big loss I am afraid. Plently better fans out there.

I admire your patience. I've supported city for 48 years. I get that feeling every year.

Did try Everton once. :bored: Soon got home sick.

This evening, Bristol City manager Derek Mcinnes has spoken of his disgust at receiving Southport Red's transfer request.

Whilst rejecting the request, Mcinnes has moved quickly to highlight the severe punishment should Southport reiterate his desire for a transfer, "Aye, I have been on the phone to Mr McGhee, and to hopefully put an end to the fiasco, he has been threatened with being forced to watch B****** R***** for two weeks."

This is seen as the strongest disciplinary action ever made by a football manager, and should force Southport Red into continuing his support at BCFC.

Impact fan? Cheeky young pup! Who was it who swore at the ref at Port Vale, Oldham and Bury? Who stood up at the end of the 5-0 at Blackpool last year and shouted "I missed watching Calendar Girls for this ****!

Impact fan, huh! What short memories you all have. Maybe I WILL leave for Fleetwood, they are offering free fish and the occasional game if my dicky knee clears up, AND a time share of the team whippet!
