One Team
I was thinking the other day we've not come up with a new song for AGES when the Black Eyed Peas came on the radio.....which got me thinking. How about this to the tune of "Where is the love?" (the song of the moment) when we've just taken the lead: "Tinman passing, Roberts running, Peacock scoring, City flying, When we play it 4 - 4 - 2, We will ###### all over you, Danny, Danny, Danny help us, Send us some guidance from the bench, 'Cause you have got me, got me questionin'...." I then thought we could launch into after that last line the following familiar song: "Can you hear the (insert team here) sing? No! No! Can you hear the (insert team here) sing? I can't hear a ###### thing, Whoah, Whoah...shhhhhhhhhhh.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Any thoughts? Too complicated? Until Brighton I would've said "Where are the goals?" is more appropriate! Ricky BCFC
It's very good, although where you go from the last line into "can you hear...etc." that would be good but I'm not sure if enough people would pick up in it to know that once the song finishes they should automatically go onto the "can you hear" song. Dave L
How about a song for Luke Wilkshire, to the tune of Waltzing Matilda? 'Waltzing with Wilkshire, Waltzing with Wilkshire, Who'll come a Waltzing with Wilkshire with me? He shoots, and he scores And then he shoots and scores some more Who'll come a Waltzing with Wilkshire with me?' Dead simple, that.
greenun
Great one this, if I do say so myself. To the chorus of Tatu's Number One, "All the things she said" Score a goal you Reds, score a goal you Reds Hit in the net, hit it in the net, HIT IT IN THE NET! Score a goal you Reds, score a goal you Reds Hit in the net, hit it in the net, HIT IT IN THE NET! ONE IS NOT ENOOOOUGH! ONE IS NOT ENOOOOUGH! Change the number for the next goal etc. A surefire hit"

wesco
I could be wrong but don't think the Wilkshire song fits in the the thune. As for the Tatoo tuned one I could never see that one catching on to that tune as It's to fast

One Team That is fantastic, One Team! Trouble is with new City songs, it seems to take an age for everyone to catch on! (eg: Chris Roberts' song) Also think we should definately start doing the Waltzing Luke Wilkshire one, Dave L suggested. Get them going guys! Godzilla
That tatu song is well funny! You are wrong http://www.contemplator.com/folk2/waltzmat.html I think the Wilkshire song fits in with the thune very well. It's only the balance of the words with the muthic that worries me a bit. greenun
I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier. It's already used by an ahem Premiership team. This catchy paean is a tribute to the Melancholy Manchester Melody by Joy Division, "Love will tear us apart (again)" Luke, Luke will tear you apart...AGAIN Luke, Luke will tear you apart...AGAIN Luke, Luke will tear you apart...AGAIN ad nauseum.. Nogbad the Bad
Mother in law coming to stay for a few days tonight, so need all the laughs I can get at the moment!! Get your mother in law a ticket for the Barnsley game on Saturday for the back of H Block in the Atyeo. Make sure she warms up with 3 or 4 pints of cider in the Rising Sun first. If she happens to be forcibly ejected for rowdy behaviour, so be it. Might be her last visit to you for a while though.
