TBW
Why do so many people want to play him in ******* midfield!? What's wrong with you all, a Striker scores seven goals for the club and is the top scorer so we should drop him into midfield so that Taylor can play because he "holds up the ball". Great. He holds it up, but what does he then do with it? He doesn't link play enough for us to score, he doesn't score himself either. Get a partnership of Davies and Baldock playing together REGULARLY. They might not score a boatload immediately because they haven't had time to gel in a game together, but we brought them both in to score goals so let them play and don't let them go the way of Pitman. Please. I don't want to see us struggle to score and then bring on Davies or Baldock to hopefully run at a tired defence... a defence who can just bring on a sub too so they're not that tired anyway. Why don't we try and score before they're tired and then when they are chuck big Ryan Taylor on to knock them on their asses a bit? Stop suggesting Davies is a midfielder. He's not. marcofisher
+1, but don't think Davies and Baldock is a great partnership, think they are both better running off a target man such as Taylor

marshy
Stead, Pitman might have been a good partnership given a run of games. One to work his balls off, the other to stick it in the net.

BCAGFC
We can't play 2 up front as we have a shite midfield & defence.....FACT!!! BCAGFC
Brizzle Jordan
Davies is more than capable of playing in the whole behind a striker.
JammyOne
Well said! People often confuse the left forward position and left midfield position, also the attacking midfield and support striker positions. Davies can play left of the wing, (not left of midfield) and obviously as a support striker (again not as a advanced midfielder) I think that's maybe the reason why people think he can play midfield. Put him in the position that suits him best, the striker role!

We can't play Davies and Baldock as dual strikers because that would mean playing 4-4-2 and our midfield is not good enough to play this system. Unfortunately we can't play 4-4-2 until we have 2 decent championship central midfielders to support our 2 decent championship strikers. Stop suggesting Davies and Baldock play up front. They can't .................until we sort out midfield.

Portland Bill
Davies is more than capable of playing in the whole behind a striker. Agree, the perfect position for him, more than capable of a strike from distance or that little bit of guile to get someone else "in".

TBW
Took him four minutes to score after coming on. Why is this guy not starting every game? Do NOT let him fall victim how Pitman has done.
