Always Ashton Red
Just a quick post to see if anybody else was driving up from Bristol tomorrow? 3 of us are doing our annual stay over in Leeds night, but were slightly worried about the weather and how bad the motorways might be. Id imagine it may take lot longer than the normal 3 hours is should take. Anyone's opinion would be helpful

So just take it steady getting out of Bristol and once you are, you should be fine.

walsh left foot
En route now, took 4 hours to get past brum but there is no traffic at the mo so should be in Leeds in a couple of hours cider in hand by 6 0 clock (probs strongbow unfortunately). The roads are quite bad but not impossible just take it easy, will be all worth it after a win tomorrow. CTID.

There's still a fair bit lying around from precious falls, however roads AT PRESENT are fairly clear. No hold ups on the trains either. Il be getting the train back again tomorrow to the game

Lew-T
how long will it take with traffic? 4 hours? Probably double that mate. I know somebody who drove from Knowle to Stockwood which took him an hour and a half. If any more reds are driving up, please take it steady! T R
Check out the local bbc weather forecast video, it will give you a clear picture of what is happening tonight and tomorrow. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2644688 The travel news link is very useful, just click on the map and you can check out the motorway camera's to see what is happening. You might want to check out other areas like birmingham, sounds like they are going to get quite a lot of snow. http://www.bbc.co.uk/travelnews/leeds#roadCameras Anyway, not going, I am staying in bed! finbarr_in_z
Derbyshire here - still snowing at 10:30pm. Roads clear-ish earlier but traffic very slow. Friends who use the motorway (M1) have taken 2 hours to get home instead of usual 30 min drive. The problem will be smaller roads near the ground, not the major roads.
