havanatopia
Ditto that for League 1 over the Championship?.....perhaps then it is the same for the three teams who are going down from the Championship this season? Many on here have posed the question in recent days; Will it be more fun next season winning, hopefully, a sack full more matches? Answer; Surely that is an emphatic 'YES' ? Dorset_Cider
Very interesting and my Dear Old Dad always said he felt that some of the best games (the ones he enjoyed the most) for BCFC were when we in the Third & even Fouth Division. He saw a lot of games in his 80+ years of supporting the City. UP THE CITY!

He saw a lot of games in his 80+ years of supporting the City. UP THE CITY! Your Dad was right Dorset, you can have great games, and great memories, in any division - Chester away to clinch promotion from the 4th remains one of my all time favourite City games. As are Arsenal, Coventry etc., but I remember all too well how many dull 1-0 home defeats we suffered to the likes of Leicester, Middlesbro', Ipswich etc. in the top flight too. I'm fully expecting to enjoy supporting City far more next season than the last 3 in the Championship - the division we're in isn't all important, it's always going to be temporary one way or another. What is vital right now is disillusioned BCFC fans are given a team we can take pride in that makes going to AG enjoyable again.

The Chester match was particularly memorable; a pitch invasion to be proud of
Super
Everbody slates the JPT or whatever it is called now but Hereford in the Freight Rover Semi Final in 86 was also a memorable night.

I preferred it when we won it. Riley, Neville, Pritchard, Newman... great day that was.
AshtonGreat
I preferred it when we won it. Riley, Neville, Pritchard, Newman... great day that was. Great days indeed. However, that was shortly after the club was at rock bottom, so any success felt like a Godsend. We should be aiming for higher these days. TRL
No, we shouldn't we havent got a 'divine right' to success. We have to batten down and earn it/ If we do well in JPT next season then I'll be celebrating like no ones business. A cup run, surely people can remember them I remember cup runs. The rule was, do well in the early rounds, draw Everton, lose.
