Stoke_Gifford_Red
With the news that Louis Carey has returned to training today it suddenly occurred to me that he has a chance of matching or even beating John Atyeo's appearance record against Bristol Rovers. With three games to play before then, Louis Carey has made 642 appearances against a total of 645 by Atyeo. That is obviously subject to him being fit enough to play in these games (maybe unlikely unless as substitute) but it would make a good story nonetheless! tinman-is-god
Whether he is fit enough to break record for the Gas game I don't know, but I think he is exactly what we need at the moment. We all know his limitations due to his age but the total lack of organisation and communication at the back has really cost us. He could help shore things up and would be a really good addition to the side. I like Flint and Williams but conceding 9 goals in 3 league games means what we desperately need is some genuine experience at the back.
