TRL
Pretty poor player as well. I remember his debut, worst player on the pitch, thwn grabs the opening goal of our first season back in division 2 against Blackburn. Nasty bugger, awful at left back better at centre back but still not great.
sglosbcfc
Wales had a great team then - Southall, Ratcliffe, Hughes, Rush and er Aizlewood.
ciderup
Wasn't it Aizlewood that rugby tackled Trevor Francis in his own half at Hillsborough? Funny as **** that was.

brady bunch
Interesting comments, watched alot of games with Mark Aizlewood involved and did not rate him that highly, but we were much worse without him and he was playing reguarly in a pretty good Welsh side at the time, so cannot have been that bad. He had limited skills, but made up for it in commitment and postioning mostly to my memory.
BanburyRed
I seem to recall that he (Aizlewood), Ray Atteveld & 'Chief' (big Wayne Allison) all got sent off in a game at Watford?!, the 3 'A's!!....nearly sparked a pitch invasion! Top away day!

pongo88
From what I can remember he never wore any socks. Obviously not when playing football but during his normal day-to-day life. Albert Einstein also didn't wear socks but he wasn't much good at football

Top away day! Brentford I think. We lost 5-2 or something like that. Only City game I've ever left before the final whistle. Aizlewood was an okay player in a good team. That's what made him look worse than what he was.

Remember the Brentford game as well cus wasnt gerry harrison knocked out and had treatment for about 10 mins on the pitch before being stretchered off? Topped off a nightmare of a game

sglosbcfc
Watford was the game where City had three sent off and lost 5-2. Huge away support and there was some trouble as everything went against us. I think David James was in goal for Watford. The defeat ended City's chance of reaching the Premier League.
