"They are s**t!!! Always have been and always will. The Aliens, they are on a different planet. Miles from ours. The rovers is a friendly family club and I cant imagine in a million years we would have reacted the same if we had been at home. To be honest I don't think half the retards ever go to another match unless its the derby. Probably local trashton thugs who just wanted an excuse for a night out from the mothers of their illegitimate kids"

Does he really believe that they are a family club after last night. Coin throwing, rushing the Williams, fighting with police.

Family club my ass

And yet again there excuse for their pitch invasion was they reached the final...

Pretty poor excuse considering a lot of them were like the ones last night, biggest bunch of mongs going.

What else would you expect from those hypocrites? Invading the pitch is fine if its in a Semi Final apparently, I'm guessing if you win the final that probably justifies murder. Not all Gasheads are so blinkered like the morons on that thread but I suppose if you use their thought process, Bristol Rovers fans are just a bunch of racist perverts who attack kids and young mothers out with their toddlers.

And it wasn't City fans fighting with Police in the first half.

This. So why are they getting on their high horse?

Maybe its because they have nothing left to crow about now as 2007 has vanished.. so they have to point what a bunch of inbred barbarian scum that each and everyone of us are. The majority of City fans (as did the Gollums) at the game behaved brilliantly to create a great atmosphere, very small minority wanted trouble but the way they are banging on, all 15000+ City fans should be banned forever...

We aren't all angels, you aren't all angels. All this taking the moral high ground makes me laugh - both football clubs have an undesirable element, who cross the line at times. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw coins - that applies to red and blue.

I agree with this but why do the Gas constantly make out they are whiter than white and we are the disgrace?

Don't really know why some people can't open their eyes! I am Gas, and there would be no point in denying that we have undesirables amongs our numbers - I think anybody who doesn't recognise this just comes across as a bit of an idiot.

Well there seems a whole load of posters on your forums who don't recognise this, I like to have a read of your forum and get a different slant from the Blue perspective but a number of your posters are so blinkered its unbelievable.

I think on this forum the majority know we have a trouble element at the club but I don't think you'll ever get rid of that especially with this game as Bristol derbies are now few and far between.. if we played each other on a regular basis there probably wouldn't be so much animosity.

How anyone can take the higher ground after last night is beyond me.

Both clubs have a minority who are lot of scum supporting them, however both sides have a majority who are lot of genuine nice people supporting them too.

That minority has ensured that we are labelled as being definitely not a family club after last night. Plus a load of idiots who followed like sheep.

Not to defend the City fans who ran onto the pitch in any way, but I think there should be questions asked about stewarding and policing.

Watching on telly , in the second half there were close ups of City fans stood right by the hoarding near the pitch underneath the Dolman giving grief to Rover's players. Towards the end of the game you could see the build up of City fans at the bottom of the Dolman and it was blindingly obvious they were going to come onto the pitch.

The stewards formed a cordon in front of the Rovers fans in the East End, whether to stop them coming on the pitch or protect them from City fans I don't know. Whatever the reason, surely they should have "encouraged" Dolman fans back into the stand and away from the pitch and at least formed a cordon pitch side along the Dolman. If they did, then they just didn't have the numbers to sope, which would probably be another example of the club being underprepared a la Bradford ticketing etc.

I know its ifs, buts and maybees, but how would things have turned out had Rovers equalised and gone on to win by penalties?

Last time I was at the rugby patch, I recall the night ending in far from savoury circumstances. This was due to a mob of teenage sags invading the pitch and confronting us and the police inexplicably spraying us with pepper spray. I actually thought the old bill did a good job in dealing with it after the horse had bolted last night.

Anyway, a classic characteristic of the second son syndrome is the deluded belief that they are always the victim.

Wish it could be just about the football. 2-1 inbreds.

Has anybody thought about the stewards and police actually doing a good job when the pitch invasion occurred?

I'm not on about outside the stands or up the road the The Miners, but when the pitch invasion ACTUALLY took place?

As far as I could tell, the stewards kept the fans separated and there was no violence on the pitch apart from a few getting lairy with the police horses!!

A lot of the fans were happy enough just to run on the pitch and do silly things like rolly polly's and kissing the hallowed turf - no violence what-so-ever.

There were a number of items thrown between the fans including amongst other things a seat.

Rovers fans are complete hypocrites. They are the "do-gooders" of Bristol in their eyes. They never do anything wrong...blah blah blah..

But what completely gets to me is people like Geoff Twentyman insinuating all the trouble last night was down to City on Radio Bristol earlier.

Rovers fans always have been out to tarnish the good name of Bristol City and I'm getting sick of it. We have 9000 seaosn ticket holders after the last 2 season of crap including a relegation. We sold 15,000 16,000 ticket as a club before their allocation last night yet they way they bang on they are some sort of super club! Its quite incredicle!

The trouble after the our first goal by the Williams stand was down to them, the trouble at the Miners Arms was them and they were just as responsible for the trouble outside as City fans were... yet all I hear is "City are thugs and hooligans"

There actions never get reporting on... obviously their memories are short after the joke that was 2007 at the Mem.

I'm not in anyway condoning the actions of the minority of people who went on the pitch last night but I have just about had a guts full of Rovers and their pathetic attitude towards us and the actions of their own fans! I though last night on the whole was a excellent exhibit of Bristol football, yet once again "our victory" is being over shadowed!! So frustrating!!

Rant over!!

Agreed with all of the above it is ridiculous, the fact is that we have our idiots and so do they, they are certainly not Charlie's effing angels. One thing though, didn't the city 'fans' attack a minibus with gas heads driving past? Or was there more to it than that.

I'm not sure, but there were some isolated incidents. I heard a couple of Rovers lads got beers chucked at them as they walked past BS3. Things like that are just beyond the joke!

I think both clubs have a excellent core support, but as with anything a few people spoil it for the majority. 400 or 500 idiots don't sum up a support of 15,000 City fans that were there last night and when people on the radio and in the newspapers put our club in such a bad light it boils my blood.

I suppose all the club can do is to keep banning the real trouble makers. Our support doesn't need them. I though all City fans last night were fantastic! The noise at times was deafening. I stood in the EE and the Williams E block looked like pure ecstasy when we scored! Thats what football is about! Oh and the JET goal was worldly!! :)
