CheddarReds
Been to watch their game today against Boreham Wood (who got to Weston in the Arsenal team coach as a nonleague luxury). Played very well, winning 3-0 and it's nice to see a nonleague side attempt to get the ball down and play. Ex-CIty players Martin Slocome, Tristian Plummer and Ashley Kington all started for Weston with Plummer grabbing a goal and Kington gettting MOTM. Weston look quite good and are currently 3rd and I would recommend giving them some support this year if you don't fancy the City away trip. They finished around 6th or 7th last year and were just outside the playoffs. A few extra fans could be what they need to get up into the conference premier. Agree that it's silly in comparison but I suppose the trouble is all clubs face certain fixed costs and when your fan base is so small you have to make some attempt at recovery which is always going to lead to high prices. Zip Nolan
At non-league level it's the league you're in that sets the minimum admission price. Toolstation Premier(Western league) is £6.
screech
And people were moaning last season paying 28 pound a ticket makes you laugh really when we were then playing some decent opposition Football in this country is a rip off, don't try and justify paying it just because it's also over priced elsewhere. The most expensive country in the world to watch your football is nothing to be excited about. There's no need to give ourselves a pat on the back over it.
