Maverick
Anyone who finishes above that Peterborough side will win the league. I thought they were a very good side. Their defence was rock solid and the lad up front who grabbed a couple of goals had that sharpness of a player far too good for this division. Remember, Peterborough were one of the best sides in the championship last season from Christmas onwards and have not made wholesale changes like we have. Mr Wendall
They didn't actually play that well
nickolas
Did Posh have any other shots on target other than the goals? Defensively we werent that bad. However, we are so easy to play against! Let us pass it around at the back, rush us in possession and watch us lump it to Baldock. We have been worked out tactically within 6 league games. Long season ahead.
Maverick
According to bbc the posh had 10 shots (5 on target) including a missed penalty don't forget, As I said before a very solid team. Sometimes you have to praise the opposition. They were a physically imposing team. The second goal was a quality strike. I didn't comment on BCFC. For what it is worth I though we were very poor and lightweight across the pitch. Only player I thought had a good game was Pack.

I also lost count of how many times we had their player trapped with nowhere to go, and yet their player shown far more strength to wriggle free and break into our box. Alex_BCFC
That excuse was used after Wolves, Coventry, Bradford and MK Dons. All those teams are (or would be) in the top 7 teams. We now have a run of 'easier' games and I fully expect our season to start on Tuesday.
no_merde
I thought Peterborough displayed a little bit of the GJ magic today - solid defence and creative, nippy forward play. That's a formidable challenge to come up against, as some of us remember from when we used to play like that.

Esmond Million's Bung
Yes and we had many chances to win that game. We were very unlucky not to. OK so 5 games we were never going to win anyway and 1 we were unlucky in, i'm glad we are not making any excuses then.

Super
Lets be honest 3-0 was about fair. They were a threat every time they attacked and we weren't.

I never said we weren't going to win them. I said they were tough games looking at the table. We could have easily won the Bradfod, MK Dons and Cov ones too. The Wolves first half performance and today weren't good enough but I think looking at the big picture, I see enough potential for things to turn around quickly. Alex_BCFC
Really, so why are we still waiting and so tactically inept then? As I've already said we had a tough start. Today and Wolves home was poor but as I said I can see positive signs and I think we will start the turnaround Tuesday.
sglosbcfc
Like Gillingham perhaps?. We have played Gillingham away twice this season and beaten them in one game and been unlucky to only draw in the other. The time to judge how we are doing will be after ten league matches. Alex_BCFC
A tough start.. really. So tactically inept and outplayed in larged instances, saved teamtalk comebacks is tough? Nothing re the fact we cant set up at all for a league match at present and has been thus since MARCH! We haven't been outplayed much at all. Only Wolves first half and today (and we were very much in the game until Fielding's error - Flint and Wagstaff both had chances to put us infront). Today was our first defeat in five games. OK - we haven't done so well in the league yet but as I said just wait until we play some of the lessor teams. Do you want SOD sacked? Back to square one with a young team? We need stability and you can see SOD is trying to play the right way (and do it right throughout the club). It won't happen overnight. One thing that does annoy me is the long ball to Baldock though and I think SOD needs to look at that ASAP. When we pass it around we look much better. Alex_BCFC
We have been totally outclassed See vs Coventry first half etc. 'lessor' teams? We are 21st! and we could only draw vs Gillingham and lost vs Cov.. As for SOD being sacked if the 'system' is now good enough then head coach should be replaceable come what may. Overnight? 8 months, still the same issues? How long do you want? Yes and in the Cov game we were much better in the 2nd than them. We could have easily drawn or won that game. You do know Coventry would be top 6 without their ten points deducted so Gillingham are the only poor side we have played. The system is not yet good enough...plenty of work to do and I think everyone recognises that And luckily most can also see the improvement is coming. I want at least a year if not longer. Managers are sacked far too quickly. Teams who actually have faith in their managers ten to reap the rewards long term - just look at Derby now. Many Derby fans wanted him out a long time ago but a level headed board will actually give a manager a reasonable amount of time to sort things out. citybs3
We were shocking today and there are no excuses for how bad we were. Can't think of a single player who did well today. In terms of perspective, I think if we compare our current team to the one that was promoted under Johnson you start to see we are really a very long way off being that standard of team spirit, quality and consistency. So anyone who has thoughts of promotion this season is deluded. What we do want to see is a win, fair enough we've had a tough start but no excuses now, anything other than 3 points on Tuesday will start to put pressure on sod. Overnight? 8 months, still the same issues? How long do you want? That would be like Tottenham being bottom after being beaten by Man Utd, Man CIty, Chelsea and Arsenal - it's not a real reflection of the whole season. MK Dons are always near the top vying for promotion, Posh will probably be promoted, Wolves are the best team in the division, Coventry have won 3 and drawn 2 with 18 goals in 6 matches- so it's obviously not just us struggling against teams that in all likihood be in the top 10 at the end if the season - Bradford, well that was just an abomination against what I thought were a poor side. Do you honestly think we are going to only get 3 points from our next 6 games or be in trouble at the end of season ?
Gol
They will be up there or there a outs but today other than assambolonga I wasn't impressed with them today. We were awful and gave them far too much respect. I think we would of made any teams defence look rock solid on today's showing!
