I was under the impression clubs can opt to join the campaign and go from there. Seems little tin pot that we're being shown up by our little minnow neighbours. The Dolman Pragmatist
Maybe they don't agree with same sex relationships? It is the players choice isn't it? Erm, isn't that rather the point? That the club may be opting out because they are homophobic?
chipdawg
Maybe they don't agree with same sex relationships? It is the players choice isn't it? I doubt the players have any say in whatsoever- especially as 12 of the players who were here when this list was produced are no longer at the club My employer is an equal opportunity employer for those of all races, genders and sexualities. I wasn't consulted when they signed up to that, why would playing staff at BCFC need to be? Luckily I'm not racist, sexist or homophobic so I don't mind... Dunno, don't care, just put it out there that maybe the club do not agree wit same sex relationships. After all they have a club chaplain, I thought the church and its teachings too a dim view of Homosexuals, even if a lot of clergy are just that! I guess I am saying, you don't have to sign up for gimmicks just to be seen as doing the right thing? And is it the right thing if you don't agree with it? Nothing wrong with not condonining same sex relationships, as long as you are not out on the street peddlig bile and creating a witch hunt against homosexuals. Not condoning it doesn't make you a homophobe or wrong. Anyway who gives a shite, the club are clearly capable of screwing most things up, why should this be any different

I agree it's a gimmick, just not sure what the club would have to lose by signing up

Can you imagine the rumpus if someone proposed a policy to end gay culture ? True! To be fair, I can't stand this sudden 'lad' thing that has appeared all over facebook and the like. Back in my day you either drank pints, pulled girls and went to footy etc etc, or you didn't. You didn't need a facebook group and this crappy language to certify how much of a 'lad' you were. not a wurzel
its not a slur on gays to tell these horrible special interest groups to **** off, nobody really wants people like the guy from the association of black lawyers determining bcfc's policy but none of these clubs are prepared to take a stand and voice an honest opinion. the biggest hypocrites are liverpool fc who made that ridiculous list of things fans can't say yet they supported suarez for saying much worse. glad we haven't signed up i have never seen any homophobia at ashton gate.
