so after our opening game of the season our fortunes seem to have been very different- so what happened? fairly even game 2-2 draw are we really 15 places better or have you guys just not clicked yet? like I stated previously I have family in Bristol so have always kept an eye on your results - not rovers as they were in the same khazi league- point is I would hate to see you relegated into that awful god forsaken league so what would have to change in order to stay up

The wheels are off when I start panicking. I'm not panicking.

Don't worry about us. I have every confidence we'll be fine.

Once we were promoted to the championship and started screwing the fans for every penny possible, while at the same time not investing properly during the first season and every season since.

Since that promotion, the club has been run with finances at the forefront, regardless of the impact to the playing side or the supporters. People refer to wembley but that was only part of it. The season ticket pricing after promotion was unreasonable, comparable to the poll tax and along with the handling of tickets for wembley, did nothing to bring club and supporters together for the greater good, it just points out that it was about the product and ignored the long term future. I understand that major investment was being guided towards the accademy and the new stadium but, without a team and the goodwill of the supporters, which seem to have been taken for granted, that investment seems misguided. Basically it would appear that those on high have gambled on resisting to invest where others have and have paid a heavy price for that gamble.

Now it's back to square one.

The defeat at Stoke at the end of the 2007/08 season pretty much killed off our chances of a top 2 place iirc. Considering how much time we spent in the Automatic Promotion places that season it felt like a missed opportunity. Im not saying that if we had won that match we would be where Stoke are now 5 years later but I do think we would've got promoted.

Incredible season, my favourite as a City fan but dropping out of contention for Automatic Promotion at the end was the point when the wheels started to fall off imo.

The Wheels came off when GJ was disgracefully hounded out the club by a section of so say supporters.

Are you seriously suggesting that GJ was sacked/removed/left by mutual consent because of the supporters?

Nothing to do with the fact that he had lost it, coupled with consistently shite performances and very very poor signings?

He was no more hounded out by supporters than any other manager at any other club.

His time was up.

FYI, I was pleased when he was appointed, supported him during the infamous 9 game run, and backed him up until his time was up, which was long before he actually went.

So his time was up. If he'd stayed as manager and we got relegated, who would have been the best man to get us promoted again? GJ of course. So we sack, have 4 managers in 4 rubbish years.Look where he's got Yeovil now, why do football clubs and supporters think we have to sack at the first sign of trouble or even relegation, because relegation will probably happen anyway eventually, we proved that.

He left by mutual consent, the mutual consent bit was a deal done between him and s.l whereby GB went quietly and in return the, club kept as quiet as possible about the Plymouth incident. decent lower league manager, undoubtedly as long as he's not givren any money to spend or allowed to employ members of his own family, would I ever want him back here? no,no, no.

I'm glad you agree his time was up.

I certainly dont agree that managers should be sacked at the first sign of trouble.

There is a section of supporters at this football club which are ******** poisonous.

We need a defence worthy of the name. And a midfield. And a goalkeeper. And some tactical nous among the management. And cheaper pies.
