ciderup
County are winning :-/ Sorry, my bad. Should have said the current bottom 4 are all losing. Apologies. Quote Link to comment
cityexile
Sounds like the result was better than the performace, but looks like job pretty much done. Two pens by Sammy, six points off them - easy money when you keep clean sheets, although obviously their pen miss is a big bonus. Win on Friday and we may well be mathmatically safe. Walsall were slightly better but not much. Not one for the purist to be honest but I'll take this every day of the week. Where is my Pasty then? Quote Link to comment

Pickle Rick
Back 3 were solid today. Add Moloney or Cunningham to make it a back 4 and play 4-4-2 moving forwards. Baldock deserves a mention on his efforts, very lively until the last kick. Quote Link to comment

Baldock deserves a mention on his efforts, very lively until the last kick. Yep his never say die attitude won us the penalty, he had no right to get the ball but just nipped in ahead of their defender. We really didn't play well at all today but for once we actually ground out a result! Very solid at the back, Osborne in particular was an absolute rock, and they never really looked like scoring. We really didn't play well at all today but for once we actually ground out a result! Very solid at the back, Osborne in particular was an absolute rock, and they never really looked like scoring. It was a gritty performance from us and was an excellent smash and grab. Through the middle (bar JET) we were astute and kept our discipline. Not criticising JET as SC seems to give him a free role to stay bright and pull opposing players in to open up space for others. Just didn't work today, but will another. I'd say our main concern is the lack of width. We struggle when opposing full backs push forwards and fail to link up when attacking on the flanks. 5-3-2/3-5-2 formation(s) have this issue. Red-Robbo
Baldock is fast becoming a BCFC legend. He looked lost, isolated up front under the last manager, but the guy constantly gives 100% and wahey! he sticks them away. Quote Link to comment
