Although Burnell's City contract is up, he is not entitled to a Bosman free transfer because he is under 24. But I understand City have already provisionally agreed an undisclosed compensation package with the Chairboys, who finished bottom of Division Two last season despite the arrival of new boss Tony Adams last November. The move will hinge on Burnell agreeing personal terms at the Causeway Stadium when he returns from holiday in the next fortnight. 2. ............. and last season's top scorer Lee Peacock, who has already been linked with a string of clubs including Hull City, Sheffield United, Oldham Athletic and Portuguese side Beira Mar.
