sh1t_ref_again
After the number of sh1t refs we have had this year, how refreshing it was to have one you did not really notice and although did not have many difficult decisions to make, kept the game flowing well. Super
wasn't one bad challenge in the game.
Nick Wilde
Thought the ref was good. The yellow card for the challenge on little was the right decision aswell.
OnCider
Apart from that guy who was rightly booked for taking out one of our players.
redsquirrel
it was funny to watch walsall cheer when they got their first free kick. didnt they realise it was the first foul by a city player?
dezgimed
Did get hit by our passes 3 times though, has to be a record!
Dredd
In a season of awful refs, going all the way up to the top, it was refreshing to have one who you barely noticed.
ExiledAjax
Other than trying to get an assist himself I thought the ref and the linos were great - not that they had too much to do.
GrahamC
He was excellent, though it was a very easy game to referee, as Walsall didn't attempt to resort to anything remotely physical to get back into the game.
Major Isewater
Apart from that guy who was rightly booked for taking out one of our players. Chambers ,and he was lucky not to get a second yellow when he "took out" Freeman on a City counter. Also ,he missed a penalty claim when Agard was wrestled to the ground . All in all though pleased with the handling of the game .
Red-Robbo
I agree. I often moan about the standard of reffing, but zero complaints for yesterday. The guy and his assistants did a good job. He missed a bit of shirt-pulling, manhandling, but the way these days is to ignore this, and concentrate on fouls committed with feet.
InCider
Thought he had a solid game but was helped by both teams who played the game in the right spirit. All in all a great advert for league 1.
