City Rocker
Jimmy Mann and Rob Newman would both be up there, each scoring numerous cracking goals.
Red Skin
In my time supporting City it has to be Micky Bell. Seemed like any free kick on the edge of the box we got was a nailed on goal. Bit like I expect us to score from every corner these days.
B1ackbird
All above plus Tinnion, also Hartley could whip corners and free kicks in as well as anyone, real pace!
City1984
Darren Barnard was OK from memory. Think it has to be mickey bell for me.

Rudolf Hucker
Jimmy MannGot to agree with Craig, Mann's name immediately came to my mind. No finesse, no dinks, no curlers, just hammered with the right boot.

redysteadygo1
Peter Hooper, sweet left peg, free kick and penalty specialist. Shame he played for that North Bristol team and the one across the bridge as well!

Ray White
Haven't seen anyone take a better corner than Freeman. I used to think that but Pack has actually got better than him.
Red-Robbo
I used to think that but Pack has actually got better than him. Was just going to post that. Pack is dead-ball king at the moment.
Admin Ian M Posted May 18, 2015 Admin Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 This season Pack has got better and better with his corner delivery but in my time, the best player to take a direct free kick has got to be Mickey Bell. And we got him cheap.

Monkeh
Mickey Bell for me, we were always a threat when we had a free kick with him on the ball,

BobBobSuperBob
Tins and Walshy obvious ones and as people have pointed out we seem to have been blessed generally over the years at Left Back Not as good as some but also quite handy was one of my favourite left backs Martin Scott Barnard if I had to pick one
BobBobSuperBob
I know we've had a rear season so all stats look rosy but I can't remember us ever scoring from set pieces, particularly corners as we have this year For many seasons , when we had a corner it was time to nip off for a comfort break ! We may not have a Jason Puncheon and score that many direct but the delivery from Luke Freeman, Marlon Pack & Co has been magnificent and a large part of our success Not as spectacular as Alan Walsh but as if not more effective
EstoniaTallinnRed
Jimmy Mann, Alan Walsh and Peter Hooper. Didn't Hooper, at the time, have the fastest dead ball kick record?
