Guest ForestBoffin
Hi, I help write a blog following Nottingham Forest, and The Championship in general, and was hoping you would assist by answering a question about your expectations this season? Now that you've had chance to see how the team is shaping up, where do you think Bristol City will finish this season? If you want to give me a specific position in the table that would be great, otherwise you can choose from one of the following options: Top 2, Play-offs, 7th-12th, bottom half or relegation.I collected similar information for an article before the season started (City fans 'average' expectation was 9th by the way), it will be interesting to see how this has changed for teams throughout the division now that the transfer window has closed. I'll possibly return in a few months to get another snapshot of your expectations, if you'll have me.Thanks for your time and I'd really appreciate any help. Good luck for the season.Forest Boffin
Lack of Action Man
Still hard to tell without knowing whether we have one more loanee lined up or are targeting any free agents. In any Case, the squad is still too small and I expect survival but nothing more.
Robbored
I'd be happy enough with mid table obscurity. 15th or thereabouts in our first season back in the Championship.
MATT BCFC
Be happy if we stay up to be honest. This is a strong league and think anyone can beat anyone. When you consider we have bought in just one permenant signing think it would be unrealistic to expect much more than mid table.
ZiderEyed
18th+ would be superb, get a foundation on which to build, hopefully UP the table.

The reason being that a mid table finish is very quickly forgotten.
TammyAB
I would take 21st right now. Even though we have good players and we are playing well, 2 or 3 injuries at once and we will definitely struggle. If we do manage to stay up I think a lot more players would be willing to join us. Creech Red
Bottom half but hopefully not in a relegation dog fight come the business end of the season.
Nogbad the Bad
Thanks for the grammatical correction Nogbad but I did actually mean "obscurity". The reason being that a mid table finish is very quickly forgotten. It didn't look right to me but on second thoughts you're probably right Robbo. The two phrases are just about interchangeable in football jargon/cliche land anyway, i.e. both meaning not involved in any drama at either end of the table. ciderbeans
Genuinely play offs. We are playing well and are more than a match for our opposition. Just a couple of important factors needing to be ironed out like finishing chances and all will be rosy again
Guest DREI
i expect us to finish 10th or higher.

RedM
I'd like to finish a in stable mid table position which would allow us to make a steady start next season. I'm happy for a 'boring' season this year, ie no relegation scraps and no promotion nerves either. I think if we can do that this season we will be taken seriously when recruiting next. GrahamC
Bottom half, should now have enough defensively to avoid bottom three/four.
Nibor
Avoiding relegation. I'd have thought a bit higher if we'd done good business over the summer but we have messed the transfer window right up.
Pickle Rick
Looking at the teams we've played so far, Brentford the only team to really trouble us. But we were down to 10 men! Otherwise we have held our own and been unlucky with certain 'things'. Our team are good enough, but not beyond 14/15 players! Injuries could prompt some serious thought on our next move(s). This league isn't as strong as it has been and I think that we can do well. "Well" in my terms anyway. For that matter, it wouldn't surprise me to see us finish too half. Long way to go!! Hard to say, but we have the ability to surprise a few.
BCFC Jordan
Missed opportunity this summer. If we had been able to bring in some exciting signings or even just managed to keep our talents from last year, I'd have held hopes of a top half finish. Now I think we'll do a good job staying up. MC RISK77
Genuinely thought at the end of last season that with a good summer of recruitment we could trouble the play offs...now think we will end up anywhere between 14tj and 19th

Offside
I've always thought mid-table would represent a decent season so that we can build from there.
Silvio Dante
Mid table, looking up. At the end of last season (save for up top), we'd have said the starting 11 from last year were good enough for that. Add kodja, and having seen what's happened so far, don't see cause to change that. Additions of baker/moore should help an unexpectedly leaky defence thus far. No reason to be fearful, but not enough to go up
