rockinredrobin
Having reflected on Saturday's game I wanted to post these thoughts :I can't really understand the booing tbh - I think thats understandable if the team arent giving 100% but thats not the case here - they are trying but they just dont seem to be good enoughAdditionally I am not sure Wilbraham deserved the massive cheer when he got subbed either considering his contribution to last season's promotionStevie Wonder can see what a balls-up has been made of the transfer window - i noticed even MK Dons have a larger squad than ours - we know we are lacking quality and depthThere will be no remedy to this problem until January - and we face the prospect that by then - if we are bottom three - it will be even harder to attract the calibre of players we needThe manager also deserves some loyalty given the last 2 seasons so I hope the Board dont just take the easy option if we are bottom three in January because he deserves better than thatOf course the sympathy I have is based on the lack of bringing in Championship quality players - however SC needs to try some different tactics and formations - but he can only work with the squad he has at his disposalIt's not looking good and the lack of a home win will soon be a monkey on the back of the players ( if it isnt already ) however getting on their backs will not help mattersWe have to hope there will be 3 teams worse than use come May I think and hope for a better summer next year

JohnM
The booing may have been more directed at the tactics than the performance. For much of the second half we gave MK three quarters of the pitch to play in. Sitting back like that is never justified when playing our normal game totally neutralised MK's efforts to attack. You cannot hope to win by trying to defend a single goal lead for over 30 minutes.

Big C
Happy Clapper alert!! I’m happy to a certain extent with our performances this season apart from the Reading game and the second half of the MK Dons game. We’ve only lost 1 game in the last 4 and we could quite easily have won the three games we drew, we were leading in two of them till very late on. Add another 6 pts to our total and we would be comfortable in mid table. We’re bottom of the league and that’s worrying but it’s still early days. Get a win under our belt and I think we can get two or three. I think the problem on Saturday was that the players were so intent of preserving their lead that just got really blinkered and sat further and further back and I also think nervousness from the crowd transferred to the players as well. If this had been last season or we had been winning games we would have seen the game out no problem. Surprisingly The Championship is harder than League One J, you get punished for your mistakes and you need to be more clinical when on top but we have competed in a majority of games and we even beaten one of the favourites for promotion on their own patch! Of course we need to start winning games but this is the time to get behind the team and not have any knee jerk reactions, last season we went on a run when we only got 5pts from 5 league games, we’re just having our blip at the start of the season this year J Also with regards with the transfer situation yes it was extremely disappointing but I rather go for signings that will improve the first team rather than journeyman squad players who are no better than what we got and are just using up our wage budget although I admit it has left us with a worrying thin squad and I don’t buy this we’re playing players this season who weren’t good enough last season. Youngsters normally improve and Bobby Reid has looked like he has!! Give me a second, ok my tin hat is on……. Go for it J

spudski
We're you as keen to get rid of SOD or is it just because you don't like SC that now there is no such thing as loyalty in football?I'm NOT KEEN TO GET RID OF ANY MANAGER.SoD had to go when he did as his position had become untenable.SoD's circumstances were completely different.SC's circumstances are his own doing....or the Clubs.I purely see our failure to win games this season, down to poor recruitment this season...or lack of it....and a lack of plan B and stubbornness. If we were mid table and looking stable....then views would be totally different. And that might change.However...I do believe SC isn't the right man for us, if we want to become an established Championship team.
rockinredrobin
NO I am not a happy clapper - just a realist - many of the squad we have at present don't seem good enough for the Championship - 10 games in that looks like factThere will be no additions until January so we have to hope we are still in touch by then - I dont feel that the mere act of bringing in a new manager will suddenly make the players better so we have what we have until then and we may as well get behind them as give them a load of stick is my view - as I said if they weren't trying I would have a problem but they areI know this is difficult to accept and I also know that 10 games in that we should go 4411 with Kodjia up front on his own - and 6 defensive players - maybe :Fielding ( because having seem Hamer he doesnt look any better )Ayling Flint Baker Bryan ( because I dont think Williams is up to it )Little Smith Pack Wagstaff ( ? )FreemanKodjiaOf course I will be worried if we are bottom in October ( but it wouldnt surprise me ) but maybe once we have played 6 more games the picture may or may not look differently - certainly if I had to bet on us now we are already 60 / 40 relegation candidates

I wonder with hindsight with the royal **** up in the transfer market, is it possible to be un-promoted as I'm not enjoying this one little bit so far!
